Looks very impressive BusyL. Well done.

Ergates, when I get a small thorn like that I put a thick Band-Aid on it and usually by the next morning it’s fairly easy to get it out because the skin has softened. 😊

Our son went home yesterday, so we’re back to normal. We are still getting the minus temp mornings so the fire is yet again stoked up. I noticed that I’ve gained a few kilos, so it’s time for more exercise and/or less tempting food treats to help with shivering. 😳😜. No excuse, I know, but it’s hard to resist sometimes.

Speaking of which, Dove, that cake recipe sounds rather yummy. I told the cake maker in this family (Hubby) about it. He is still thinking about it which is probably a good thing.

    catch up aging later.

Thinking about the weight solution, our son brought a box of very nice chocolates for Fathers Day (today) and they are already gone this morning. 😂. We are very weak willed when it comes to yummy things.

    Good morning all!

After a drizzly morning yesterday today is looking bright.

Chocolates are easy to eat @Pat E   Nice that your son was able to stop by.
Good job @Busy-Lizzie   Looks nice and bright now.

Been awake since 3.30am up at 6 to make breakfast for my niece and nephew who stopped briefly on their way to Madrid to settle their son into Madrid University where he starts his engineering degree with a focus on F1.  Sounds like he has an exciting 4 years in front of him.

So it's bedrooms, bathroom etc. to sort out.   We made a big pot of ratatouille yesterday so half of that is in the things to take.  2 boxes of masks and a pack of 5 covid tests plus wine of course for their stay in Madrid.  (Not for the boy child!) They are staying in a camping ground.  I won't change their bed as they may stop her on their way back.  Oh, living on the crossroads of the south!!

I hope everyone has a happy Sunday.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
A misty morning here in Norfolk … it was quite thick earlier on but the sun’s getting up and burning it off now.
That looks really good @Busy-Lizzie  👍
Chocolates sound good @Pat E … just as long as they’re not every day. 😉
Exciting times for that young man @tui34 😃

All is quiet here this Sunday morning, or it would be were it not for a family of juvenile magpies chattering at each other
nearby … and how they’ve moved on I can hear the cooing of woodpigeons in the ash tree.

Lovely day here, we are off to meet our grand niece for the first time. Hope I can manage the car journey.
