    Good morning all.

Cooler here with a fresh breeze - it's sunny.

Cancelled my exercise class this morning - need to cut my vine back a bit and make a trip to the tip.  Don't get garden rubbish pick up here.

I need a bit of that treatment.... on my chin @coccinella !!

Today :  Qui sème à la Saint Janvier, de l'an récolte le premier !

I hope you all have a reasonable enjoyable pain-free day!!

Morning all, dry but quite breezy at the moment.

We've got our covid jabs organised for this morning, then we're going onto the next small market town to look at furnishing fabrics at one of those old fashioned fabric shops that sell lots of household stuff.  Probably the only one left in this area. I want to recover our dining room chair seats and have already bought the foam cushioning. It should be a simple job with an electric staple gun says she hopefully. I expect coffee and cake will also be on the menu!

The good news is that my brother has been told he will be discharged either tomorrow or Friday and transport is being arranged back to his home town. Don't know the details yet. He'll be overjoyed as he was very depressed when I spoke to him on Sunday last.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all.

    Glad about your brother @Lizzie27.

Not a gardening day today, grey, chilly, windy, rain forecast. I left my gardening jumper outside and it was absolutely sodden.

I wanted to do some ironing in front of the TV but Internet is so poor the TV keeps going off. OH didn't iron while I was in France so there is a big pile.

    Hi all

Very stormy outside, they are predicting flooding for round here today.
Minor celebration last night, I got my best ever score on University Challenge, maybe I haven't lost all my grey cells, yet.

  • Hate to pour cold water @punkdoc 😉 but I did quite well too … and I was brilliant at Only Connect as well 😇

I can't do both shows together, it makes my brain explode.

We were only able to watch a few minutes because of the wobbly Internet. Hope to catch up eventually.

    Well done @punkdoc!

Good news on your brother @Lizzie27.

Not very inviting out there.  I'll be picking (more!) tomatoes in a bit to drop off at our local community support group shop.  This group have done amazing work, starting in lockdown they came together to offer support and help, delivering meds and food and just a chat to people.  Now they have a large shop where they offer all sorts including Citizens Advice who come once a week, cups of tea, biscuits and a chat, a Baby Bank (for babies, not actual babies), and a food larder.  It was this group who started the Warm Rooms concept which is now all over the country.  We are very proud of the brilliant volunteers who run it.

We're now back home after having our Covid jabs (and also flu jabs as they asked if we'd like both) - one in each arm so tonight's sleep may be disturbed. Then we went to the next town starting with coffee and cake before visiting the fabric shop. There I found just what I wanted, a muted floral pattern in several colours including duck egg blue to match our curtains. All I have to do now is to remember that all the seat covers must run the same way as the pattern is vertical (think sweet peas up a pole).

We're also having problems with our Freesat TV @Busy-Lizzie. It frequently cuts out and the TV is not a HD ready one so the blasted BBC has put a banner across the screen on most programmes which we can't get rid of - infuriating!

Talking of TV, is anybody watching the excellent Laura Kaussenberg series on  the Boris chaos? A right eye-opener.
