Busy, I'm quite impressed with my Jacquemontii 'Snow Queen'. I was expecting to have to wait quite a long time to get the beautiful white bark but it is there already. So pretty.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Had a good day here getting lots of indoor jobs sorted including spending quite some time on the telephone. Spoke to Mum whom the Carer said was doing very well with no problems. We were planning a visit to get next week but we seem to busy on alternate days so will leave until the week after....weather permitting. LB, yes I know now is not the time to sow those seeds but I was just experimenting to see whether anything would germinate. If things do come through successfully, it will be cosseted. We had a little rain earlier on but it's stopped now and we had a brief spell where some blue skies were visible and the sun was trying to shine through. Hope @Red maple's roof is holding out with no more rain. Topbird, lovely to see you. What a busy time you and your OH have had. You'll have to recoup and recharge ready for the next break away or adventures in your motor home. I had seen the sad news of a months dog, such a shame and he wasn't that old really.Β Busy, thank goodness your island is getting delivered to your door, saves a lot of inconvenience to you and all.Β
It is sad to read about Nell. She was a lovely dog. I remember her as a puppy annoying Nigel π (well, not annoying, really, just being a typical puppy). Then it was her turn to be pestered by Ned π.
Red Maple - I also remember Nell 'playing' with Nigel. As keeper of a sequence of kittens and cats I remember only too well that game of establishing a hierarchy between old and young. Always entertaining to watchπ
Sad to hear about Bobby Charlton - one of my heroes.
Off to cheer England on now.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Good morning Ruby - tell you what, that must be a cracking book you are reading to keep you riveted 'til that time in the morning.
Good morning all joining later. I shall spend time licking my wounds today. Arm taking its time to recover. Still too dark to see what's going on outside. I might just see how the removal of the Leylandii progresses - weather permitting of course.
