    Morning all from the CA,

I think I'll be living through groundhog day for the next few weeks and emerge when all is dark and Marti :oΒ Β

On the bright side, it'll fund roof repairs and patio rebuild. What exciting projects to slave towards ;)Β Β

Good morning Biglad and all later arrivals. Safe journey today Hazel.
Biglad, at least if the weather is dreadful you can feel better about having to stick to the occasional indoor day job now! Have you finally hung up your refereeing boots??
I will park on 'sco carpark today when I go for my vaccination and do a bit of 'essentials' shopping on my way back.

    Good morning all.

OH has a cold. He's not sure if he'll feel well enough to go out for the lunch I booked for us in a nice restaurant tomorrow. Thought it was my turn to take him out for a change.

I'm going to my favourite GC today to buy violas. There are bare patches since I've been weeding and last years ones have died.

Morning all. Had a few days catching up with post holiday jobs and feeling a little more in control now. It won't last! One thing I've enjoyed is catching up with OC and UNi Challenge. We're nearly up to date. We managed to solve both the walls on last week's OC last night - that doesn't happen very often! I'm pretty sure VC is getting weirder.

Have also just started a 10 week online Latin course. It's classical Latin which is not what I need but is all that's available. It will be a good discipline to get me studying the grammar again but the vocab is totally inappropriate. Slave girls bearing garlands and pots full of gold for the marriage ceremony in a temple full of pipegirls won't help much with 13C land disputes. The texts we're using remind me exactly why I hated studying Latin at school....

Biglad - sorry to hear you're once again mired in the boring world of work but it's a necessary evil. I wondered if the actor's / writer's dispute would be affecting you. All that is so far removed from my world that the news has sort of passed me by but I did see that there are hopes of a resolution.

LB - hope you have no after effects from the vaccination. I'm having both flu and covid in a few weeks. Same arm at the same time. Nurse will comment but I'd rather have one really sore arm for a day or so than two over a prolonged period.

Is Hazel off to see her mum? I hope they have a good journey and things don't get too emotional.

Best wishes to everyone else. Hope OH feels better soon LB. Might be worth doing a Covid test if you've got any left - there seems to be a lot of it about at the moment.

Off out now to cut the grass before the wind picks up. It's very, very long!

Hello all. Morning went well. Had my vaccination - so far nothing! Arm is not even stiff like it was with the flu injection. Last year I had both flu and covid on the same day and in the same arm T'Bird. Arm was stiff for a day then recovered. Hazel is going to clear some things from her Mum's house T'Bird as well as visiting. I hope she gets chance to see her brother too. I am hesitating about putting my bins at the bottom of the drive because the wind is starting to build up now - maybe Agnes is on her way.
Rosie, I have that Viola with your (real) name. It is so pretty.
Busy, I hope that your OH managed to get out for lunch today and that you both enjoy your meal tomorrow.
I am signing out for tonight. See you all tomorrow. Enjoyyour evenings - whatever you have planned.

It's windy here, no rain or storm though.

OH has spent the day in bed, coughing and sneezing, but no fever. I've cancelled the restaurant, re-booked for next week. I hope OH is OK on Saturday, my sister, her OH and a friend are coming for lunch. We weren't going out for lunch today, LB, that was yesterday.

I went to the GC, bought 4 trays of violas and have planted 3 of them, done some weeding and dead heading.

Good morning all. Gosh Busy, I am not doing very well at the moment with mis-reading peoples' posts. I do apologise. I blame it on the mad week I'm having. Hair 'do' day today at Bestie's and no doubt lots of gossip. I seemed to have missed out on the worst that was forecast from Agnes last night - thank goodness! Dustbins are still in place and upright.

    Morning all.

No need to apologise, LB. You are one of the best at reading other people's posts.

We had a bad night, OH was tossing and turning and coughing and there will be a full moon tomorrow which always affects me. Think I'll see he does a Covid test today. Daughter 2 in France has 'flu. Symptoms sound just the same as when I had Covid but her 3 tests were negative.
