Brace yourselves everyone, for the arrival of Storm Agnes tomorrow. I am off to the village for my blood tests this morning and then on into town to Spooksavers for my eye test. I lead such and exciting life!

Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning all. Slept soundly last night and feeling more like myself this morning. Shoulder is still sore so think I have pulled a muscle sometime. I did say I was postponing the visit to mums until tomorrow so this extra day will help us fully get over the side effects of the jab. We are hoping to dodge the Storm by planning our journey around where it will be at any given time so fingers crossed we will be ok. Sunny at the moment but just packing etc today,
I was quite saddened to hear of the passing of David McCallum this morning. I remember watching him as Illya Kuryakin in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and more recently as Ducky, the forensic pathologist in N.C.I.S. I was a little bit in love with him as a teenager. RIP
I hadn't heard this. Yes, I recall The Man From U.N.C.L.E. But, I've seen every episode (I think) of NCIS - got so many of the series on DVD.
Good afternoon all. Sorry Ruby, I missed your early morning post You will have seen that I have been busy. By the time I left town it was raining. I might get more planting done tomorrow after I've been back into town for my covid vaccination.
Sorry to you too Hazel, I missed where you said your were delaying your visit.
It was chaos going down to town this morning after my blood test as all the buses seemed to be out of sequence and by the time I got on one, it was standing room only. I now know what a shirt feels like when it is hung on the line. My arms were aching. I had the usual huge wait in Spooksavers but had excellent service once they got around to dealing with me. The return trip from town was held up as the bus was 20 minutes late and to add insult to injury, the driver overshot my bus stop despite me having rung the bell and made my way down to the front. The extra walk probably did me good but I was shattered.
Thank you Busy. Pleased to report I am now recovered. Nice to hear you were able to sit outside for your lunch. There won't be too many days like that now.
