    Morning all.

I hope your shoulder pain fades during the day Hazel.

Toothache is still there but better than yesterday. Dentist son said it sounds more like a gum injury than an abcess. Either I flossed too hard or a bit of sharp, hard food got in and cut the gum. OH's hip painkillers have helped quite a bit but the first time I took them I felt a bit light headed.

It should be a lovely sunny day so I will do some gardening. I must finish the front garden, the ground elder is creeping back in from next door under the fence. I sprayed it next door in the spring when elderly neighbour was in hospital but it's back.

My toothache is much better now. When I rinsed after flossing there was a tiny black shard in the basin. I looked in my magnifying mirror and the ancient filling in the next tooth is shining silver. I think the shard came from it and was stuck in the gum between the 2 teeth.

I've finished weeding the front garden. I found 2 self seeded alchemilla mollis so I moved one a bit and planted the other one by the rose arch.

Good afternoon all. Telephone consultation went well but obviously with my blood tests not being done until tomorrow, I will have to wait another week for their pronouncements. The best news is that tree man (+ helper) arrived this afternoon and removed the lilac tree I wanted shifting. Tree man was really nice - dug up several clumps of my self seeded cyclamens which were very close to the lilac, as they would have been ruined by the stump grinder and I've since relocated them to my back garden. He then lowered the crown on my Prunus padus and it is now a tidy, gently rounded shape. All in all I am more than pleased with what has been done. I think i might place one of my hydrangeas where the lilac was.
I spent a couple of hours this morning chopping all my rugosa roses to ground level. There was also a 'bird present' berberis that got cut back too. This made it easier for the tree man to access the trees.
Hazel, I hope that your shoulder pain has eased off now. Are you sure it wasn't the covid vaccination? Hope you OH recovers before your trip tomorrow.
Busy, that was good news that the toothache culprit seems to have been identified. Time will tell if the pain now ceases. I love Alchemilla mollis. It always looks so pretty.
I am not going out quizzing tonight so I will enjoy the TV quiz night - well maybe not OC but definitely the other two.

We’ve not had a good day with jab side effects so have postponed our visit until Wednesday.Β
Haven’t done anything today- hoping to feel better tomorrow.Β
LB, the tree man sounds to have done you a marvellous job and you’ll have more light coming in now that the Lilac is gone.Β
Busy, pleased to hear you may have found the toothache culprit. Hope it settles down now for you.Β

    Morning all,

It's going to be a busy work week and, with it looking like the Writers/Actors strikes are moving towards resolution, I might be incarcerated for longer than the 4-6 weeks originally discussed :(Β Β

Morning Biglad and all arriving later.
Not the best of news for you Biglad, but as you have mentioned before, it helps to fill the coffers and we have got that expensive season sneaking up on us.

I was quite saddened to hear of the passing of David McCallum this morning. I remember watching him as Illya Kuryakin in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and more recently as Ducky, the forensic pathologist in N.C.I.S. I was a little bit in love with him as a teenager. RIP

    Morning all.

I had a bit of a crush on Illya too, LB. I think a lot of teenage girls did. Robert Vaughn was cast to be the sex symbol but the girls fell for David McCallum instead. He died on the 25th aged 90.

My toothache has gone, what a relief!

We have been invited to lunch by friends today.
