Good to hear from you Lily. It’s been raining rather a lot here and temperatures are dipping. Definitely coat weather now. Sending you a hug and hoping the plants do well, Rosie x
Hello all. I'm just about rugbied out but the big match is yet to come! My sis and BIL are in Nice now. I wonder if the Princess of Wales will be there at this match.
SGL, it is so lovely to see you. We totally understand. How nice that you went to a GC with your friend - so therapeutic. These are for you, Debs and Yvie.
Gosh Hazel, what an incredible spider - so colourful. I looked for my spider today - its beautiful web is still there but there was no sign of the occupant. I guess he/she is lurking in the leaves waiting for something juicy to get stuck in its web.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I did a few bits and bobs in the garden today. Lopped a little off the top of an apple tree and bamboo that have been bending over in the breeze. With the stormy weather forecast, they're more aerodynamic and less likely to be damaged now.
Took a few cuttings, spot of weeding and made a to do list of projects that I would like to be finished before the really grim winter weather sets in - a dozen jobs. I should be able to do 8 on my own. 4 will require some finance and/or assistance
Ticked off the first one though - porch roof and gutter cleared of moss/gunk. Not a fan of working from the top of stepladders so glad to see the back of that one without performing any acrobatics

Church this morning then we went to lunch with friends, just got back. We had a lovely chatty time, 7 of us.
Hazel, sorry to hear your mum has Covid. Hope she gets better soon and hasn't been too poorly with it.
