Sunny and warm morning. Still nothing of promised rain. Pets are all fed, I have my cup of tea, and in a half hour must go. My sister has flight at 11pm, so I'll drive her to airport.
A very good morning Biglad, Ante and Rosie. Just seen my neighbour on his way out to work and the mornings are so noticeably darker now. Lily is munching her breakfast and won't be too keen on going outside just yet. I often wonder what she gets up to when I am out. Mostly sleeping at a rough guess!
Ante, I'll trade you some sun for a bit of rain!
T'Bird, Yvie, Debs, SGL a big hello if you get chance to drop in.
Got my cup of tea to hand - safe journey to the airport Ante and the onward journey for your sister.

Good morning everyone .It’s very wet here ,rained most of the night .I received my Henri Matisse rose yesterday. It’s beautiful, very pleased with it .The Autumn is certainly here .I must get on and finish the garden tidy up.It doesn’t seem long since I was tidying for Spring.Enjoy your day folks .
Morning all, just finished my Pilates class so feel quite a bit fitter and stretched 😁. Thank you @wfnp5bk4spsSNFYKh1 (Rosie?). Yes, I really did enjoy York Gate gardens. (Near Leeds). As I mentioned, it’s only very small, but a very pleasant way to spend a few hours, stretched to about 3 for us with the nice lunch we had. There are other places to visit in the area for anyone travelling from further afield, such as Harewood House, Butterfly World and the Royal Armouries, and of course York and Harrogate are not too far away, either, but I think it’s easy to spend quite a long time there, despite its small size, because there’s always something you want to go back and take another look at, and there are plenty of benches scattered around to enable you to just sit and absorb the atmosphere. They do a guided tour usually, but unfortunately yesterday, once we’d gathered together to go on it, another very apologetic volunteer guide came to say that the volunteer who does the talk was unable to get there. She, however, gave us a very potted history of the place but couldn’t talk about the planting as she didn’t have sufficient knowledge, sadly.
Hello all. Had a nice time at Bestie's today and we just sat and relaxed, drinking lots of tea and coffee.
Ruby, I looked up your Henri Matisse rose and its a beauty. Made me think of strawberries and cream when I saw it.
@Redmaple, what a pity you didn't get the designated guide for your visit but you know what this means - you just have to go again! Next time you may get the talk about the plantings!

No sign of Hazel today - I hope all is OK with her. I keep thinking about all her foxglove seedlings and I can't help it but the film 'The Day Of The Triffids' keeps sneaking into my mind. I am signing out for tonight. Enjoy your evenings all and I'll see you in the morning.

Evening all. We've moved about an hour northwards and have a pitch on the campsite which is almost on the beach. It's been another hot day and thunderstorms wereforecast for the afternoon but not a drop fell. A fewrumbles of thunder and that was it.
As we were packing up at the last site I commented that one of the tyres looked a bit soft. After we arrived here OH decided he'd better change the wheel. Sure enough there's a big nail in the old tyre. Decision now is whether we try to get it changed with the weekend looming or whether we risk driving all the way home with no spare tyre.... We'll decide tomorrow.
Sunset just along from our pitch:
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Morning all. A fairly warm evening. Winter scarf has arrived in a berry shade. Just made some tea. It’s been raining as I’ve just looked out whilst putting the kettle on. Rosie
