I don’t believe it’s fixed due to the public vote

  • i've been keeping up this year and I have to say there is a lot of talent this year most people seem to be super good at dancing im very impressed

I see one of this year's celebs is apparently demanding more money from the BBC because they will require therapy due to the stress of training and being trolled on-line.  The therapist is on Harley Street, but that's no surprise.
Surely the simpler answer is to pull out of the show if they are finding it too much.

I'm surprised they have time to go online, what with the day job, the training, the promotional videos, SCD 2 and getting some food and sleep!

Besides, if they're enough of a sleb to go on Strictly they surely already know about trolls and ignoring them.

@Obelixx slebs don't ignore social media.  They revel in every bit of sycophantic tripe written about them and have a total meltdown if somebody ever dares to say they don't love them.

Self inflicted angst then @KT53 and not something anyone else should be paying to resolve.

I'm with you on that one @barry island - I think they are giving Angela Rippon dances more suited to her capabilities to keep her in the competition longer.
Agreed, and I think it’s OK. There’s not much point inviting someone on who is in their late 70’s if you’re going to ask them to jive close to the beginning. Ditto with a serious disability - I bet they wouldn’t have asked Jody to jive either. The fit, younger celebs wouldn’t (or shouldn’t) resent that. Like @Dovefromabove said, it’s entertainment, not a proper dancing competition.

I was a little shocked to read that Rachel Riley said that strictly is fixed and the beeb knows who is going to win at the start, now whether she was joking or misquoted I don't know but A.R. getting to Blackpool where she used to present Come Dancing would be a bonus for them wouldn't it, lets wait and see if she does.
To be fair, she said that they could fix it if they wanted to, not that they did. Also that she thinks they know who they want to win. Which as close as she can come to accusing them without having any evidence at all. I wonder if she’d have said this if she’d got to the final? I expect quite a few of them are shocked when they go out ahead of less able celebs - but that’s what happens when it’s part popularity contest. It doesn’t mean it’s fixed, it means they wouldn’t have gone out if it was just down to the judges scores.
