No!  The sun is not peeing - it is peeping out!!  Sorry!
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

I liked it peeing. It explained where the spitting was coming from. 🤣

You need the sun to pee @tui34 to water in those new plantings! Could do with some rain here, it's parched, it's overcast and very humid. We used to have a large fig tree and it was always a race who got the figs first, Blackcaps, hornets or us. Unfortunately we had to dig it up as the roots were growing into the pipes of our septic tank 🙄

    Good afternoon,
it’s a lovely day here today, long sunny spells and pleasantly warm. OH and I had a stint working in the garden cutting the grass, trimming back some trees and bushes and some general weeding. The green bin is almost full again and was only emptied yesterday. It’s very satisfying seeing the garden looking neat (ish) again. My tomato plants are beginning to show ripening fruits at long last. I’ve grown them outside rather than in the mini greenhouse this year, so perhaps that’s why, along with a lack of sunshine of course.

Welome @Teacup. I think you’ll find this a friendly thread.

    You're making good progress @punkdoc.

Bonus day off today (I had a few hours to take back) so I’ve had a mini ‘weekend’ mid-week!

Lovely day so done a bit in the garden and sitting in a new chair in the shade of the apple tree now . A local GC is closing down - 50% off most things! Was hoping for some bargain plants but they almost all gone already. I only went for perlite!

I hope everyone is behaving and having a decent day ☀️

    Good afternoon/evening/night for PatE

I have finally finished the holiday washing and done half the ironing, the travel cases have finally been put to rest. Done some cooking and admin jobs and general moping looking at the garden. Some serious work is needed there but the weather isn't playing, expected heavy thunderstorms later. Most of my cosmos snapped under the heavy rains and the buddleia is strewn. So time to come here to the potting shed for a chat.

Great news @Dovefromabove. What a relief.

Had a great day out with my friend who's just a whirlwind and puts me to shame. She's older than me and has a dicky heart but she just never stops! She lives right over the other side of the city but didn't seem to mind driving over to collect me. She then drove to a farm shop for an early lunch (a rather guilty bacon sarnie!), then into a small market town to get cash and finally up to a small nursery the other side. I only bought a few cards to keep in stock as they were good quality ones at reasonable prices and a couple of juicy looking nectarines - my favourite fruit. I was driven back right across the city again and my friend was then off to visit yet another friend of hers in a nursing home. Phew, I'm exhausted.

That was a nice bonus day @AuntyRach, hope the new chair was comfy.

Ironing lots of clothes after a holiday is such a pain @coccinella but hope you found the holiday worthwhile. OH washed the bedding for me while I was out so I must iron the pillowcases before we re-make the bed - preferably before bedtime!

    It's been a beautiful day.

It is 3 am and I am noodling on here catching up with all the news. Hope you get back to sleep Dove, I'll give myself an hour before trying I think - it was one of the dogs needing to go out in the garden that woke me in the first place. Dog is now fast asleep again of course.

    Hi again Forkers.

We had a quick trip to town this morning - Hubby to get some cash for a bloke who is grading our perimeter fence lines and inside tracks, and me to take my knitting efforts in to the gallery to sell.  Three pairs of long fingerless gloves, three pairs of wrist length fingerless gloves and three wrist warmers. I’m keen to see if they sell. Hopefully, people passing through Cooma to go skiing at Perisher, Thredbo etc will drop into the gallery and be tempted. 😉

It started at minus 7.3c here this morning,🥶 then got really warm in town so I’ve been stripping off cardigans, gloves, etc.   I expect you are right, Tui about our weather. Not looking forward to summer this year. I’ve decided to keep a few inches of water in the bath so that if needed, we can sit on the rim and dangle our feet in to cool off if it gets unbearable.  Luckily we don’t use the bath - just the shower cubicle.

    Have a good sleep everyone.
