T'bird, your demands according the weather sound quite reasonable. I'll do my best. Just to be sure, you should pack clothes from bikini to ski suit. 😂
LB, I'm glad your backs are much better.
Sunny and warm morning. Whole week will be like that, and little bit hot during a day. I'll stay at home today, and have one more easy day. I didn't slept very well last night. Carnival was till 5am and it was quite loud. Now is time for first cup of tea.
Good morning Rosie, Ante and all joining in later. Its quite warm here too Rosie. Thanks for reassuring people with that info T'Bird.
Did you get your cooking done yesterday Ante? I'm having my first cup of tea too. I would hate to have that sort of disturbance through the night but at least I hope it doesn't occur too often for you.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I have just seen further horrific news about Maui. My heart goes out to all affected by the fires there. How on earth do people come back from a situation such as that? I trust that the American government will step up to assist but when your whole home, belongings and neigbourhood are gone where would you begin? It will be such a struggle.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning LB. I'm half way thru cooking. I was ran off fresh ginger, and there is no more in SM, but I'm not in hurry. Same as you, I don't understand how those people will continue, but most important is they survived. We are resilient species, and we went thru a lot of catastrophes thru the past, caused mostly by ourselves.
Ante, your comments are so true. We can be our own worst enemy but I also know that most of us are kind and will do our best to help people who need it.

Thank you @Topbird for taking the trouble to do that.
Work fine yesterday and planning a day of chutney making today with my cherry tomatoes. They are growing well and only have me to eat them. I will use the Mary berry recipe so it should be tasty.
Fiancé is off to watch motocross with his daughter and grandchildren, he doesn’t love it but it’s time with people he loves.
I had a fall last week down the stairs carrying the vacuum so have bought a cordless lightweight vacuum for mainly upstairs to avoid a recurrence and I will try that out later. Not ho*****ork more of an experiment.
I have vacuum cleaners upstairs and downstairs @debs64, makes life so much easier. The cordless one is very easy to use but needs its filters cleaned regularly.
Cloudy this morning so I'm going to do some weeding, more comfortable than when it's sunny.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all. Looks like it's rained overnight so nice and fresh. Overcast so may need to use the hot flat metal thing later today. Going out to a g/c this morning, on the look out for some new plants. I think I could do with a two separate hoovers as even my lightweight one is now beginning to feel heavy. Joys of getting older. My mum and dad always had one per mama entry upstairs too. Debs, I hope you're alright after your fall? Nasty and could have caused some serious damage. LB, these fires everywhere are horrible. To lose everything is unimaginable ,the poor people.
Poor you Debs - hope you're ok. I've done that lugging my old heavy Dyson down the stairs. Caught on the step and sent me and it flying. As a result I bought a much lighter cordless vac. Have to empty it more often & wash the filters regularly, but it is a hundred times easier to use and carry around.
LB - the news from Maui is horrific. Do you remember my niece got married on a beach in Hawaii some months ago - just the 2 of them and the celebrant? Well they have set up home on Maui and are expecting their first baby in 6 weeks. Fortunately they're down at Kihei and have posted that they're all safe and well. However, there are still fires burning in the hills not far away so we're keeping a close eye on the news just now.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
