Good morning Ante, Rosie and all joining in later.
Great to see you Ante and it will be a good day cooking your produce for enjoying through the cold, dark months. All those mushrooms sound delicious. Nature's bounty for sure.
Rosie, I reckon that work yesterday wore me out. I slept in this morning so I am quite late arriving here. I did enjoy the cricket last night and more today. Yesterday's sunshine has not arrived yet.
@Biglad I can bust some moves I'll tell you! Well done on breaking the back of your deliveries. Have you been asked if you can find anyone's pet yet?

Morning all. Back in my own bed after a very tiring and intellectually challenging week which I thoroughly enjoyed. The only thing I really didn't like was the lumpy mattress - so many bits sticking in all the wrong places. Would really like to go back next year - but I'm taking the mattress topper I use in the camper van!

Ante - sounds like a good harvest despite the extremes of weather. Good to know your hard work is reaping dividends๐Ÿ™‚. Also good to hear the weather is improving. We will probably arrive in Croatia in about 4 weeks time (we sail 3 weeks today - eeek!).

I will order the following weather for the 10 days after that. Day time highs around 25C with 2 cooler days per week. Light but persistent rain from 11pm to 6am most nights. Night temps around 15C. Gentle breezes and no strong winds. Hope that is ok for you and your crops. ๐Ÿฅณ

LB - hope your back is ok after the tumble yesterday. I have done exactly the same thing many times. Even though my garden is completely private the first thing I do is to to look round to see if anyone was watching! Most inelegant isn't it?

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Morning all and welcome home Topbird. Bet you had a lovely sleep on your own mattress last night. Take it easy for a few days now after your challenging week, don't overdo stuff. You'll soon be off again so only necessary jobs now!
Ante, enjoy your weekend now, recharge those batteries.
LB, oh the picture made me laugh this morning๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‚ Wish I could do that, even swaying to the side would probably pull something or tear something or I'd lock into place and never move again๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Day of catching up on indoor jobs today๐Ÿ˜• but needs must now. Did a slug patrol last night and found hundreds of the critters. I'm pleased to say we must be getting some wildlife in the garden, ablbeit some birds ( I hope) as all ย the remains have gone this morning.๐Ÿ‘

    Morning all.

I didn't sleep as well as usual last night. Too hot and there was a mozzie and OH was restless too.

I have a bit of weeding to do, watering this evening but I must do more of Son 2's birthday photo album. It's taking ages, scanning and editing. Was going to do up to his wedding but Daughter 1 insists that I do up to now with photos of him and my grandchildren. I would have thought he would have his own photos by then. Son 1 and D 2 haven't sent any photos yet and time is short. One of my albums is missing. Maybe it's still in a box in the loft.

Busy, that sounds like a huge job you're doing there. Hope you manage to get it finished, when is his birthday?
OH has cut front garden grass and Ive replanted a primula in the wrong place.ย

    Good afternoon all.
Happy to report that my back is absolutely fine after yesterday's collapse. I do have to say that one other thing adding to my inelegant recovery is the fact that I couldn't stop laughing at myself for being such a twonk!
T'Bird, are you sure those lumps in the mattress weren't peas?? Seriously, taking your own mattress topper sounds like the perfect answer as long as it isn't too unwieldy to transport. How super that you are off to Croatia for your next continental trip. Will you be able to visit with Ante? You mention sailing so are you taking the campervan when you go? Sorry about the 'third degree' quizzing!
Well done Busy on your mammoth task. Unlike you, I am getting rid of virtually all my photos. I never look at them and they take up valuable space.I have just invested in an external CD/DVD player for my laptop as I want to rip all of my CD's and then get rid of my collection. That will probably take quite a while too - sounds like a winter project.
Hazel, wouldn't it be lovely if you had a hedgehog visiting?
There is a veritable sport fest on TV today so I am sort of glad that it is raining outside. When I was catching up with the Ozzies on Wednesday, my sis was telling me that she and her OH (big noise in the RFU) are booked into a hotel in Paris for 7 weeks during the World Cup. The first 2 of England's matches are in Marseille and Nice so they are going to drive down to their caravan, attend those matches then leaving their car at the caravan they will take the train up to Paris. They will have to travel to Lille as England's next two matches are there. Sis admits she might nip home for a short break during the tournament as she will get just a little fed up of being away from home for so long. BIL will have to stay all the time.

LB, I'm hoping so or at least birds. I've started feeding them again now( just hope it doesn't attract the flipping mice again) so have my fingers crossed. Good to hear you're none the worse for your ( embarrassing) topple over๐Ÿ˜‚ We've all done it. It sounds as if your sister and OH are dedicated sporting ( that came out as sprouting....๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚) ย fans. Sounds good fun though.
Rubee, I've done a few indoor jobs but the rest I'm leaving until another day๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm trying to get in touch with mum but no one is answering the phone...๐Ÿง๐Ÿค”

Hazel, that must be a bit of a worry for you. Can you contact the place she is in to see that all is OK? Maybe you mean no one there is answering the phone in which case ignore my first query.

LB, no one is answering the phone at all. Maybe there has been an emergency, I'll try again later.ย
