LB, it's very appropriate for me as that's my mums name. I'm hoping it will settle and flourish in its new spot. Fingers crossed. @rowlandscastle444, good that you've had your scan. When I had a bone scan, earlier this year, I had to wait 10 weeks for the results( and I wished I hadn't bothered😕). Night all.
Morning everyone. LB thank you I’ll take photos. Topbird yes a large Baileys was very welcome. Thank you Hazel and Busy. Hazel and rowlandscastle I have had bone scans in recent years. Time for some tea. Hope you slept.
Good morning Biglad, Rosie and all later arrivals.
@Biglad, glad you got a round of golf in yesterday - it did turn out to be nice. Not, however, this morning though and I have just remembered that I left one of my gardening tools by the pond side! I thoroughly enjoy the cricket highlights yesterday evening on TV. Was waiting for a declaration but hopefully today will be as exciting.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning everyone. Not read back but hope all are well. Been a bit busy with health issues and work but today is for me. Out to a barbecue later at a friends house, she is the lady who has so many problems with her youngest son ( drugs) but she is battling through and trying to enjoy life despite it all. A real tough cookie.
Fiancé is home for a few days and has given in his notice and going back to agency work, I have not been coping well with him being away so much so that’s good news.
Good morning Debs. I hope that the weather is kind to you and your friends at the BBQ. She definitely sounds a strong person - and good for her. Sorry to read that your Fiancé did not find the answer at his last place of work but in the grand scheme of things, personal health - whether physical or mental - has to be of prime importance. There is no point staying in a job if it makes you ill and maybe with the responsibilty having been lifted from his shoulders he will get the new 'shot' of adrenaline that will rekindle his interest in his cooking and you will feel better for having him around - sharing the funny little moments that lose their effect when related at another date.

Oh bother @debs64 I thought your fiancé was OK at work. Maybe agency work will lead him to a job nearer you.
4 year old grandson refused to go to bed last night. Kept getting up and running about and disturbing his brother and sister until 1.30am. He was up before 8am (French time) so I sat him in front of the TV with his breakfast. Last resort to give everyone some peace!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
It’s very breezy today with dark clouds followed by bursts of sunshine. The breeze is taking the edge off the temperature so it feels on the cool side. One forecast promises showers, the other just sunny spells. Guess it’s a case of wait and see.
I hope your fiancé will find that agency work will lead to a more permanent post nearer to you. The beauty of agency work is if a place is horrible, you can walk away but on the other hand if it’s good, then it’s one to store away for future use, so to speak. You will be much happier having him near by everyday. It’s not great when your partner has to work away during the week, my OH did quite frequently for his job, I was always pleased when it was a job that was travellable.
Your grandson sounds to be full of beans @Busy-Lizzie. Let’s hope he sleeps better tonight 🤞.
Well, it’s decided to rain, so one forecast was correct.
Debs hope your fiancé is happier with agency work. Busy boundless energy in some of the little people. A sunny morning but cooler. Just finished some tea and folding some clothes.

Night all.
Golfing again yesterday afternoon - got lucky as the forecast 'sunshine and showers' had the least desirable element missing.
I doubt I'll be as lucky today as it a designated gardening day. The showers are forecast to be thundery over the next couple of days
