I agree with T'bird Rosie. Double measures are so much more fun than singles and you deserve that after the stress of this morning. Don't forget to take pictures of your damaged door too.

Penstemon Partybells Violet  dropped into our basket whilst at the garden centre this morning. Plus some succulent plants  for OH. It started hoying it down with rain before we ventured out and we got caught in another one on the way home. 💦💦  Now the sun is out and it's very hot.
Rosie, what you've gone through this morning is terrible, and very stressful. You really must claim some compensation for the damage done to the property etc and I hope the boiler works okay for you now.

That's dreadful, Rosie. I hope they repair everything.

Thank you @Topbird.  I have already seen the Red Arrows over our garden several times and I expect I will again. We saw them recently when we drove past Duxford.

I have Ghislaine de Féligonde in Norfolk LB. I love her but she has grown quite wide and bushy sideways. So has my daughter's Ghislaine in France.

Busy it was definitely yellow ,probably wrong label .The shrub rose was sitting at the side of the climber in the GC and that had a label on that said yellow.

Well I'm finished in my garden for today. I've removed loads more flag irises and green bin is now full to bursting. Its due for emptying next week. When one of my friends found out what I was up to, she sent me this poem:

    Our Pond

    I am fond
    Of our Pond
    Of the superfine gloss
    On its moss,
    Its pink lilies and things
    And the wings
    Of its duck.

    I am keen
    On the Green
    Soupy Surface of some
    Of its scum,
    Its water waved weeds,
    Its three reeds
    And its muck.

    Yesterday,
    As I lay
    And admired its thick skin,
    I fell in;
    I went walloping down
    Till I stuck.

    I am fond
    Of our pond,
But I like it much more
    From the shore.
It was quite out of place
    On my face,
    Where it stuck.

    By Daniel Pettiward

Apart from the duck that does about sum up my pond!

Hazel, you sound to have had a good day and I've had a look at your Penstemon. It is very pretty.
Busy, 2 more DA roses (described as small ramblers) Open Arms and Rambling Rosie. I expect you will have looked at those already.

Waiting for the spag bol to cook. The 3 grandchildren said they like it.

I mentioned Open Arms LB, I had it a OH's previous cottage. Very pretty.

I love that poem, made me laugh.

Nice poem @Ladybird4 - more than a touch of Pam Ayres!

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
