Morning all, good to see you @punkdoc, I had to remind them to take my cannula out before I left hospital. I was glad to get home for some decent food!
Sunny start but clouding over now, thankfully not as hot as the rest of Europe. Need to see if there are anymore plums ripening and I have courgettes turning into marrows.

Morning all. Haven't had the forecasted thunderstorms yet but I suppose they might still happen. Was hoping to meet a friend for lunch but she's already committed and OH is going out for the day, meeting old work mates for a drink or two, or three! I don't mind as he needs some R & R from looking after me these last few weeks.

Glad to hear you're making progress @Punkdoc - I'm sure you'll recover much better at home with Moira looking after you, nothing like your own bed to sleep in. We did sleep in different bedrooms when OH came home so we didn't disturb each other and I couldn't kick him accidentally in my sleep! That worked well for us.

I'm feeling much better each day and could wash and dry my own hair this morning which is a great improvement. Bit disappointed that my gooseberry crumbles were very slightly overcooked yesterday, should have checked after 30 mins instead of 40 mins. However I don't suppose the men will even notice, smothered in custard or clotted cream! Our ready meal Indians were very morish last night and we enjoyed watching the First Night of the Proms afterwards.

Good morning all.  Have read back and am pleased that @D0rdogne_Damsel has a house, even if it is not the one she wanted, but her ex has seen the light and will leave her alone now (hopefully).  Charlie has the best of both worlds.
Glad @punkdoc has had his op and is recovering - it will take a bit of time, but he'll get there.  Glad @Lizzie27 is feeling better and I hope everyone else with ailments is feeling better too.

I took my OH to the hosp. for a chest x-ray yesterday morning.  The appointment was at 9am.  We arrived at 8.40am, he was seen at 8.45am and we were out by 8.50am - 10 minutes before his scheduled appointment!  Didn't even have to pay for the car park as it is free for half an hour.  Now we are keeping our fingers crossed that they don't find anything untoward on the x-ray. Angiogram next week.

In between I am working pretty much flat out with the rest of the team for the Festival.  There was an article on our town, and the Festival, in the Telegraph a few days ago.  Only online but unless you subscribe you can't read it.  The journalist sent us a pdf though.  And the Festival founder did an interview with GB News of all media channels!  Somehow the right wing media are loving our story - something to do with the fact that a higher percentage of people here stated 'Satanist' as their religion on the recent census.  But we are all about folklore, myths and legends with music, singing and story-telling - so all very nice really.

    Hello forkers

it has rained a bit this morning, but I fear that that's it. Good to see you @punkdoc: upwards and onwards.

I have people for lunch next saturday so today I will be experimenting with some preparations. The garden is only being watered at the moment, I will resume playing in autumn. We too watched the first night of the proms and enjoyed it.

Oh dear, it's St Swithin's day today  and it's raining!  :o
Glad the op is over and done with @punkdoc, hopefully the pain relief will be helping by now. Not sure they will let you out over the weekend but I m sure you would be happier and more settled at home in your own bed.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend in spite of the rain and wind.

    Home.

Not sure I am ready, but crazy bed pressures and I have a good nurse to look after me and can do my own injections.
Beyond belief knackered, no sleep for last 2 nights.
    See you all soon.

Everything will be so much easier now you are home @punkdoc. You will relax and sleep better, and you and Moira will fall into a routine that suits you both.
