@punkdoc … listen to some relaxed music … OH recommends Astrid Gilberto, and read one of your ‘easy’ books or listen to undemanding podcasts … I recommend ‘Just a Minute’ on BBC Sounds as good for distraction. Look at pictures of interesting things … the time will fly past.
@WonkyWomble 🤞 ive sent a congratulatory text to the step Womble and hubby for their anniversary … how many years is that now?

Well done @punkdoc, you got there, and didn’t run away in the car park like OH nearly did! Shame about the long wait, hope you did manage to get some light reading to stick your head in. Any hope you can maybe have a doze and catch up on some sleep? I’m sure you won’t need reminding to keep as hydrated as possible, but don’t forget! You’ll feel so much better afterwards.
Morning all, last on the list is a bit of a bugger @punkdoc, means no food all day! Happened to OH as well, he was starving by the time he had his op. Hope you've got crosswords/newspapers and books to read to pass the time. Poor Moira!
My landscaper chappie has arrived and is putting up a handrail by the steps up to the back garden, will make it much safer for me - and for OH when he has his second hip done. I was able to wash and dress myself this morning, even managed to put my socks on which is a great improvement!
DIL left this morning and had stripped her bed so that we can change it before my brother arrives on Sunday for his grandson's graduation ceremony in Bath on Monday. Haven't seen my big bro since March so looking forward to that. July is turning out to be incredibly busy and we're off again next week, then have more visitors arriving. August looks a bit quieter.
Glad the dinner party went well @Busy-Lizzie. I picked enough blackberries yesterday to make a crumble at the weekend which is easy to do.
Don't overdo it @WonkyWomble, toes can be very painful. Difficult when you're self-employed I know.
I ordered a new printer from Canon just after lunch yesterday with standard delivery between 5-8 days. At 10.30 ish last night I had two emails from UPS stating I had a parcel delivery scheduled for late today and telling me to click on links to 'sign for it' or to track it. I've done neither as I'm worried these are scams. What do you think? Both companies are registered in the Netherlands apparently so it might be all above board but seems very quick.

You'll be fine @punkdoc. Most of our friends have had something or other replaced with good results.
Dinner party went well last night. Rhubarb fool was runny but they all had 2nd helpings and they all had the orange and almond cake too.

OH has decided to take me out to an Indian restaurant tonight.
