It’s been sunny and warm here since 11am. Visit from son and family this evening, I put the oven on to make some gluten free cakes and the kitchen is now uncomfortably warm. Have managed to chop off some brambles and pruned the laurel hedge, so feeling less useless than I have been. I must check what weed killer I have in the cupboard. I’m going to try some on the gaultheria sharon, which is getting more and more out of control. I’m in danger of losing some of the paths round the garden where it has been sending suckers across the ground. Evil stuff.

Hi folks, sorry I've been absent but Ive been a bit handicapped.  Whether it was the fall in the garden or cutting down some tree branches (next door neighbour was complaining about blossom on her patio) I seem to have damaged the tendons in my wrist.  I managed to get GP appt and now have to wear a splint on my right hand.  It's proving hard to type.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the wrist will improve in time for me to go on my painting holiday at the beginning of next month.  Hope everyone is OK.

I hope your wrist is better in time for your holiday @Yviestevie. What a fusspot your neighbour sounds, surely she can sweep her patio if she doesn't like the blossom.

What takes the biscuit is that their garden is an absolute tip.  All I get from their side are weeds!!!

Good morning everyone.  All the washing has been hung on the line, so I can now flop in front of Tv without feeling guilty 😀

Good morning everyone it is now 02.45 3rd June in the morning and unable to sleep due to overdoing the gardening yesterday and am now feeling the effects. I will just be sitting admiring my work and taking things easy in the garden today.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Good to meet you @arossrob 😊
I hope you’ve managed to get some sleep now.  It looks as if we’ve got a warmer day ahead, so definitely a day for putting our feet up and gazing at the garden … with something long and chilled maybe  🍹

    Morning all

Oh @Yviestevie sorry to hear about your wrist. Joyless neighbours indeed.
Can't complain about the sunny days really, but the garden needs some rain. Chilly in morning, very hot in the afternoon and windy. The alliums are already gone over while other plants are behind.

A community garden has started only 5 minutes from me. I am going to take a look later today. Must go food shopping first. Have a very good Saturday all.
