I would look very chipper, if I had a companion like Charlie.

Morning folks, just proving I really do get up early!! I thought the clock said 5.45, (the bladder and dry throat didn't care!) It was 4.45, already done the doggy pick up, checked the top greenhouse, the one with the peppers, found a very large, pretty actually, snail out for it's morning Constitution along the top of the lemon balm tray. Off to do some watering and check at the bottom and veg plot. We don't actually have a "who is in the wrong here" or whatever,so going to ask you! Yesterday morning,shower/hair ready to go shopping. Just finished, got out, dripping wet, towel round hair first. Hubby knocks door, says coo ee. I know he's had gut problems, maybe he needs the one and only toilet. Wrap towel round body, open door. He is asking me about the plants we are putting out the front garden for folk to help them self. By now I'm in the living room,(open plan bungalow) I don't want to stand with steam coming from bathroom (yes, extractor) I am annoyed, asked why is he disturbing me (I have to use various lotions/potions, some internal (sorry if that's tmi!) He says he knows I have finished in the shower...can hear the pump is off. I replied that I had literally just got out. We have been putting plants out for several weeks, but it has been very windy, front garden is open plan,so the rest hadn't been put out. I put tomato, cucumbers and courgettes up by the conservatory, and told him the previous day they were to go out. They were from the bottom green house on the veg plot, so even if he'd forgotten, there was no other reason for them being there. He then asked if they were going out,and what were they. Now I had posted on here recently, I had mixed them up...he said he knew which were which because of different leaf texture and flower position. I was annoyed. HE was then annoyed with ME, said he was only asking a simple question, why was I annoyed! Im in the lounge, towels wrapped, front door open, lady looking at the tomato. I can see this is going to escalate,so I retreat to bathroom. Sorry,it's so long. My daughter just happened to ring, she said it's me,I'm far too sensitive (??) Was I wrong to be annoyed.  Sorry it's a long read.

Morning all, and morning @Nanny Beach, silly how these things escalate isn't it. I don't ever want to speak to anyone about anything until I have had at least one cup of coffee and my porridge in the morning, also like to have heard the news headlines without interruption too, not too much to ask is it, a bit of peace and quiet whilst one prepares for the day ahead. One of the reasons I am happy to live alone in the most part these days. :)

Off to Paris today to meet Charlie off the flight from Berlin. Looking forward to seeing him very much.

Happy to say my fingernails are filthy from gardening, I have decided June is my favourite month, I can get so much more done with these longer days, still outside until after 10pm last evening. Best have a good scrub before I get to Paris though.

Must dash, stuff to do before I leave, I am going to treat myself to a nice lunch in town though before I get on the train, take an hour to calm myself down. This will probably be my last break until mid September at least. Doing a summer season here is a bit like going into battle, head down, crack on, sleep whenever possible and don't look up. :0

Have a good day all and take care of yourselves.

Morning DD, I had been up for several hours, had tea, breakfast, pottered in the garden. Was just waiting for solar.... immersion heater to have shower. My daughter says I over reacted, hubby obviously thought same. He would have been royally annoyed if I'd banged on the bathroom door. Toilet, fine, emergency, fine, this was "just a simple question",huh, which could have waited. We were already running late. In the winter,it's the gas boiler,I would have been ready. Ironically, I have very quick shower, and I dress in there,he takes ages, and goes off into the bedroom to get dressed.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
I don’t know @Nanny Beach  … we’re all different … until son moved in here our doors were rarely shut  … if one of us ‘needed a word’ or wanted to brush teeth while the other was in the shower it wouldn’t be a problem …

@D0rdogne_Damsel  it’ll be lovely to see Charlie and hear all his news … and then you’re off to Paris … 🍷 ☕️ 🥐 😍

My car is back from the Alfa specialist with a new wheel bearing and hopefully an emissions sensor glitch fixed 🤞 so today I’ll be taking done down to his workplace to liaise with colleagues … he’s already doing a bit of working from home and is eager to do more.

    Good morning all!!

Overcast, windy and humid!  No good for people with fizzy wizzy hair!!

Goodness @Nanny Beach !!  I'm on your side.  It wasn't a simple question because you had your mind on getting ready!!

Bonne route @Busy-Lizzie   Safe return to Blighty.  Looks to be a hottie day tomorrow so I hope @punkdoc will get some of it.

Ah - Berlin @D0rdogne_Damsel  !! Wonderful city.  I was lucky enough to go there with a school group - back in the day - fabulous people.  Very welcoming.  Went to the  Philharmonic Theatre - memorable.  Paris is so lovely in the spring and it's easy to wander around the streets - pop in for a coffee and a wee and continue meandering.

@AnnaB  Sad news indeed.  My friend's niece is in the same position.  37 years old and a generalised cancer.  Husband and little chappie of 5 left to cope.

@Dovefromabove    Quieter today?   Hopefully - at least they won't be working on the weekend.

A happy Friday to everyone.  End of the week - weekend looming so go easy on the Prosecco!!

A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

Fingers crossed 🤞 @tui34 … although as I won’t be here it’s only OH who will hear them and he’ll be in the studio and oblivious to everything else 😃

Although at last we have sunshine we have a blustery NE wind keeping temperatures down … and now there’s a severe weather warning ⚠️
Hope @punkdoc has some better weather ☀️

Dove, I've never been one for closing doors, shower yes, because it's steamy.  I have to apply these intimate creams, some internal, involves contortionist behaviour. The toilet is bang opposite the door,I never used to lock it,but hubby busts in, because of the cystocele I have to lean forward,so got fed up with having my head whacked. Urgent words,ok, but not bringing plants to be identified! Already running 2 hours late, owing to waiting for the solar.

It would seem that an answer to your problem might be a cold shower in the mornings @Nanny Beach … very invigorating 🤪 🚿
