    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
I was awake at 4 @Hostafan1 … flamin bird singing Beethoven again outside our window … why doesn’t it wake OH up? 😂  Thankfully I went back to sleep again.
Have a marvellous time with your  family … will you get a trip to the seaside in too? Or will they have done enough travelling about for a few days?
We had lovely visitors yesterday … an old friend of my sons travelled down from Sheffield with her 9 weeks old baby daughter.  Lovely 🥰 it’s a three and a half hour direct train journey … what a lovely friend to make that trip and back again in a day. She texted at 9pm to say they were home. She works at Sheffield hospital doing CT scans but of course us in maternity leave at the moment.

    Morning all.

It's light here so early compared with France, not just because of the hour difference in time but also because of being more north in June. I put a blackout lining on the curtains when I made them but the light comes in all around the edges. I will have to start going to bed earlier.

Boiler man is coming at 9am. I hope he can find the cause of the fuel smell.

Yesterday I cut quite a lot off the choisya. Today I must unravel a clematis and put it back on the fence. More watering to do. NDN says it hasn't rained for weeks.

Morning all, another humungus storm yesterday evening with more torrential rain that continued into the night. I think I have now given up with the roses, they look awful. We have to take the strimmer back to the shop that we only collected last week as it still doesn't work!
    Catch up later.

    Morning folks.

Another sunny and hot day. Yes @Busy-Lizzie - some parts of the U.K. haven’t had more than a drizzle for about 5 weeks (here!).

Have a lovely day everyone, whatever you are up too, esp Hosta having some family time.

The boiler man has been. A washer had gone which caused oil to leak that had dissolved some grease around a ball bearing in the pump.

This morning I've done more watering and weeded and tied up plants in the Laurel bed. Also tied the clematis to the wires on the fence. Etoile Violette had mostly found its wires but the blue viticella, Emilia Plater, was flopped all over everything. Was getting quite hot out there in my jeans. Come in for a break and to change into a dress.

    Hi all.

    Beautiful day.
I am dealing with a stroppy under gardener, who thinks she knows best.

Is there no chance that the Under Gardener may be right @punkdoc … after all, she has been taught by one of the best 😉

She certainly thinks she knows best, and you are right, she says I have told her to do it that way in the past. I am just waiting for the: Monty does it this way.
