Afternoon all, still hot today, so sitting inside with the curtains drawn trying to keep cool.
Managed to get the large front door rug shampooed yesterday and I'm pleased with the result, looks a lot brighter.
Had a session with the osteopath this morning with more manipulation of my shoulders/arms. Rather achy now. Says I'm doing okay but it may be a long haul. Got to keep up the exercising!

Oh dear @floralies, my sympathies, I've only just got over that bug, not at all pleasant. Hope you feel better soon.

Sounds awful @AnnaB, little and often is probably the way to go. I must practice what I preach!

That is bad timing @Hostafan1, but the X-ray is much more important. Hopefully you will have a good result. Are you going to rope in your little helpers in watering the garden tonight?

We're forecast a wet day Sunday which I'll believe when I'm outside getting wet! Garden is so, so dry. I need to plant the clematis I bought at the Malvern Flower Show but waiting till after its rained. It will be growing through the small greenhouse roof soon if I don't get a move on.

    Enjoy your weekend folks.

Just a quick word (dont laugh) to thank you all for your sympathies. makes me feel a bit guilty as I have had such a marvellous and interesting life and there are so many folks who haven't and are so much worse off than me. I send you all my thanks for reading and my hopes that you will all find the help necessary to sort out any problems you may be suffering from.
@punkdoc a big thank you for all your help and advice over the past years for all of us here. I can so understand your need for taking 'time off' now and again. Take care of yourself.
@Hostafan1 sorry you had an interruption to your families visit but hope the results of the x-ray are good.
@floralies I'm so sorry to read about your son, I really hope things get back to more normal for him soon. Yes I'm sure it is long covid of some sort but as Lizzie says, slowly does it and little and often will have to be my motto from now on - just sooooo frustrating!

Just a quick pop in to say good morning to my forker friends. What with this blooming raft of health issues, and trying to deal with the medics, hospital and surgery (reception staff) both telling me completely different versions of events,my supposed 2 week emergency pathway appointment vanished in the ether! Luckily the GP secretary sorted it out. The receptionist told me to contact the ED Dr,I knew that wasn't correct. Interestingly, when you ring the surgery number, first message says "do not abuse our staff", never used to be on there,so folk have obviously got fed up! I said please only use my mobile number,we don't have a phone package anymore,if I am not right there, I won't hear it from the garden/know you have rung and you can't leave a message. Guess what, luckily I was in the living room, landline rang, medical secretary, and NO receptionist, failed to pass on, mobile phone only request. Had a visit yesterday from youngest daughters, blokes auntie, lives near them, not far from me. She has a raft of similar health problems, has had some of the same. First time we met,we clicked. She bought me a huge gorgeous pink paony in a vase arrangement.  We laughed for 3 hours. I kinda guessed at a cake (knowing just a few of her health triggers) decided on Victoria sponge.... she said that and lemon drizzle are her absolute favourite! Shame, I couldn't eat any! I'm going to wash rugs today. Have been sitting under the eucalyptus (it does have disadvantages!) In the shade, listening to the blackbird....he needs a name. Robin was sitting on the table next to me, actually giving me a dirty look! A fledgling rook had I think tried a maiden flight from nextdoors fir trees, fallen behind a rose near the tree,it's not very big or prickly. Parents were going mad! Hubby extricated him from the rose,he sort of hopped into neighbours garden. Meant to be storms tomorrow. A week ago, water company here, said only use water for drinking and food prep, what about washing and laundry!! Hope you all have a decent weekend. Off to visit Olga pollizies fabulous garden today.

I’ve just been out to get the washing in and it’s freezing out there. My hands are tingling.  I’ve put those that can be tumbled in the dryer and the socks and underwear on a drying rack inside. Brrr.

I didn’t want to get them wet, Dove.  Anyway, it’s 5.30 now, so they can sit in the dryer until the morning and then I’ll see how they feel. I’ve turned the Machine off.  🙄🙄

Feeling just a tad wobbly this morning … R3
just played the two pieces of music I chose for my parents’ funerals … in the same order as their demises. I’m not usually emotional about such things but hearing the two very meaningful (to me) pieces played in quick succession like that ….
