And now it’s June … the month of roses, strawberries and … Wimbledon 🎾
It should be safe to put those tender plants out now … 🤞 and then there’ll be all that watering … but we’ll all make time to pop in here and say hello … share triumphs and tribulations … hold a hand and give a hug when needed … the kettle’s always on for a cuppa … so find a comfy chair, hand around the cake tin and chat about this and that with friends old and new … all are welcome here … 😃

    Good morning everyone !!

Thank you @Dovefromabove  for the lovely introduction.

For today the expression is pertinent:
A la Saint Fortuné, grand hannetonnée.

Hello Forkers, thanks Dove for everything. We’d be lost without you.

I’m putting the finishing touches to Hubby’s wrist /arm warmers. Should be finished tonight.

Yes, I believe so @Dovefromabove  At this time of year the wheat farmers release ladybirds which translate as being coléoptèra or the beetle family.  Busy little things!!

Thank you Dove for the lovely welcome to the month of flaming June.
Another lovely day here by the looks of it and the wind seems a little less chilly than of late. Off for my second cuppa.

Finished his set, now just mine to finish off. I don’t enjoy sewing up the fingers, so they’ve been left fro tomorrow. I’ve generally to be early - fed up with watching certain programs. We watched a full episode about Putin. I assume there’s more episodes to follow next week.

    Hello Forkers,

and thank you Dove. Well another scorcho here, too hot to be in the garden, and no sight of rain yet. Water butt empty. I just hope that it isn't going to be like last year, the back garden faces south-west so it can be very hot, but with judicious use of water I managed to keep the garden going. Back to buckets in the kitchen and the bathroom. Hey ho, the sun is lovely too.

    Happy June all.

Afternoon all, welcome to June and thanks @Dovefromabove for starting it off again.
After a chilly start the sun appeared at midday and it's now 22c. Seems to be the pattern this week.
I cancelled my appointment with the osteopath this morning because of my cold and will see him next week instead.

After lunch I completely cleared the courtyard and applied the patio cleaner stuff. That's three sides of the house done so far.

Will have to water the pots again tonight I think, no sign of rain here either @coccinella.

We haven't heard from @D0rdogne_Damsel yet have we? Do hope her meeting with the Bank yesterday wasn't traumatic.

    Hello all,

Very quick pop in, so busy. Charlie has left for Berlin so feeling a bit worried, but he'll be fine, glad I'm busy.

Some, ( dare I say) progress at the bank, they're trying to arrange a 0% loan to get the work done. Yet again, I'm waiting to hear.... Trying not to think about it, thank goodness we're busy. Frustratingly, the bank manager came in for lunch today, but we were so busy I couldn't even find time to say hello, ( I was on kitchen duty). I was just hoping he realised what a safe bet he on lending me money. 🙄 People waiting at the gate for a table, and it's only just June.....

Right, have 20 Cupcakes to decorate for a birthday party tomorrow.

Hugs and best wishes to all, I'll try and catch up again later.

@D0rdogne_Damsel, thanks for letting us know, fingers crossed all round and I'm sure Charlie will be fine.

I'd love a cupcake right now!
