@Nanny Beach I feel for your husband, it's very painful. I had it recently and I don't eat a lot of meat and I like veg and salads. The doc said if it happens again I must try to see a doctor straight away. Last time it happened there weren't any doctors available.
I've been painting the landing again. The stairwell has now had the first coat. It's all quite fiddly. I don't think I'll have time to do any more before we go back to England on Friday.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
No news here, but we’ve acquired a fourth sheep from somewhere this morning. Haven’t heard from either neighbour to claim them, the more they eat, the less for Hubby to cut. 😁
Very smart as well as warm @Pat E, and I love your idea of having longer cuffs.
Hope you have managed to get back to sleep @coccinella, I am normally awake between 3 and 5am but often manage another couple hours of snooze between 5 and 7 to save me being too zombie like for a lot of the day.
I did sleep again thank you @AnnaB. I read a bit then headphones with some boring talk and usually done off again until 6 or so. I am sitting outside, it's lovely and cool with a gentle breeze carrying the lady of the lake scent. I am enjoying a cup of tea. Bliss. The best moments in life are the simplest.
Back to grey and cool here, summer is struggling to get going, but no rain since early May. We had another big fire up on the moors above us last week, seems it was a disposable barbecue again, surely time they were banned.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ That looks idyllic @coccinella 😊 Great gloves @Pat E 🧤
Overcast and 11C here … thankfully the forecast says it’ll be quite a bit warmer next week.
A busy day ahead as I’m taking OH to the community hospital for a procedure that’ll lay him low for a few days, so I’m going to have two chaps lounging around needing looking after 😂 Thankfully son is able to do a bit more of his own personal care now, although I still have to cream his back, shoulders, arms and hands four times a day and fit his splint on his right arm. He’s determined to get better at walking so that he’s safe on the stairs and then he can move into an upstairs bedroom, so he’s going out for a walk every day. He’s doing really well.

I too, was awake early - 4am!! At 5 the dawn chorus started - someone again was getting blasted!!
Anyway, it's sunny and bright. Still no rain although it clouded over yesterday around 5ish - black clouds, a few rumbles of thunder, but nary a drop.
Today: Les bains que prend Saint Norbert, inondent toute la terre.
