itās just down the road a few miles from here and heāll be supporting his work colleagues ⦠heās so looking forward to it ⦠hope any rain will wait until nightfall š¤Ā
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Poop occurs @Dovefromabove but I seem to be back in the garden with a passion rather than a pout so here I am. My head is full of mini forests and underplanting again. Big ideas and no impetus so I'm here to be chivvied and encouraged. Where better? How're things?
I trusted our forecast for the night, and avoided watering much of the garden. WE HAD RAIN!! Enough of it to make a difference - but not enough to fill the water butts.
Poop certainly does occur ⦠youāre right there @plant pauper ⦠our lives took a bit of a lurch in February when my son was badly burned in a gas explosion and spent a long time in Broomfield burns unit ⦠but heās alive and living with us while he recovers š
Ā Ā @Hostafan1 cared for his dear husband through a long and difficult illness to the sad end ⦠and that understandably knocked him for six for a while but I think Iām right in saying heās gaining strength day by day š
Ā Ā @punkdoc ās health hasnāt been great either, but the garden still gives him sustenance.
Ā Ā @Busy-Lizzie and her OH still travel back and forth between Norfolk and France but now itās to a smaller French place.
@D0rdogne_Damsel ās restaurant business goes from strength to strength and weāre following the adventures of her son Charlie as he becomes a young man ā¦Ā is that enough to be going on with? Ā
Come on folks ⦠whatāve I missed ā¦.?

The rollercoaster of life eh? I read yesterday that @Hostafan1 lives alone on the "water" thread and I wondered what had happened. That's very sad news indeed.Ā Thankfully your son is making strides towards recovery. What a dreadful thing to happen. So shocking! I read too that @punkdoc has an ex-NDN. Hurrah for that news. I take it that the nut finally cleared off. What happened to the poor son though? @Busy-Lizzie 's fabulous garden has new keepers. I hope they're keen...and fit! And @D0rdogne_Damsel 's cake factory is going strong! Absolutely brilliant! That was a leap of faith at the time. Hard work pays off! Thank you for the mini catch-up.Ā
Hello @plant pauper - we haven't met!Ā Be good to get to know you as we go along.
I think we might have had a bit of rain - it smells a bit wet, but doesn't look it so nothing to get excited about.Ā Forecast is for rain this evening but that so often misses our dry and dusty corner of Suffolk.Ā And I can't get the hose turned on!Ā (Oh, just read that again, not sure how to rephrase it).Ā Ā
