    Morning all.

    @Biglad's plants look like blueberries.

Yesterday we went to Westonbirt Arboretum. It gave us a good long walk under some magnificent trees. Good thing OH took his mobility scooter. I'll post some photos when we are home. It would have been beautiful with rhododendrons last month and it will be glorious in autumn.

We ate out in a Sri Lankan restaurant in Bristol last night.

We are going to a big GC today then going back to Norfolk this afternoon. Google maps says it will take 3hrs 33 mins. Hope they are right this time! Maybe Sunday will be different.

Thumbs Up on Microsoft Teams Well done @Biglad. I wish I could be so disciplined! Lovely looking plants there but do tell - as I've no clue - what are they? Red currants?
They look nothing like my redcurrant bushes. But yes, @Biglad what are they?

Good morning to one and all.

I didn't overslept this morning ( I know what you think😂), just spent few hours in front garden. It's lovely outside and not too hot.

T'bird, I don't see the problem about your weather😁, except a lack of rain. I would love to have those temperatures whole summer.

Biglad, also don't know what your plants are, but they look nice and healthy.

Today I'll have early lunch then will go to cottage. There is plenty of work, and tomorrow is my beloved Monday, at least during summer months.
Here is my tree lily. It's around 1,5m high, and flowers are quite heavy.

Sorry folks - it seems I've inadvertently set a Sunday morning quiz :D

@Busy-Lizzie is the winner as they're a pair of honeyberries (Aurora and Strawberry Sensation), which are extremely similar to blueberries I'm told. Apparently, they're a good match to cross-pollinate, so I'm looking forward to see how they get on.

I used to grow blueberries, gave them to a friend when I moved. They need ericaceous compost and they prefer rain water to tap water. Blackbirds love them so watch out!

  • Hazel hope all goes well with your appmt tomorrow and it’s a little cooler in there.  LB enjoy your time in the garden, don’t get overheated and plenty of drinks.  Thank you both.  I went to bed for a few hours after too warm a night.  Topbird will you both be brown as berries.  Lovely to be out in the fresh air.  Quiet ahhh.  Biglad yes your plants do luck healthy don’t have a clue what they are though.  Been giving home a once over and up early for a final one in the morning just in case I’ve dropped crumbs on the kitchen floor.  Red Maple enjoy your day, all the Baileys has gone.

Afternoon all. It has been streaming down here with some rumbles of thunder so I've had a watering job spared.
T'Bird, your temperatures are crazy but not too dissimilar to the ones I've had - except I do have the benefit of the thunderstorms.
Biglad, I have a berry growing up my garage wall - yellow fruits - which I saw on an episode of GW during the pandemic. It was one of the viewer's gardens and a young boy was the presenter as he was the gardener, I cannot remember the name of the plant which is very annoying. I have an annual battle with the blackbirds to see who will get to the blueberries first
Looking forward to seeing your pictures of the Arboretum Busy. I do hope that you have had a good journey home.
Ante, your lily looks HUGE, I feel that I could almost wear the flower as a hat! It is as tall as me.
Well done Ruby for getting your Rudbeckias in whilst it was still relatively cool.
Rosie, I hope that you are ready for the flooring fitter tomorrow. SM visit to replenish the Bailey's clould also be needed.
I have the delights of the Dentist first thing tomorrow morning and as I hope to get a better night's sleep tonight, I am going to sign out for now. Enjoy your evenings.
