    Good evening all.

Beautiful orchids LB, and clemmie of course.😁

Red Maple, it sounds like you had busy day in the garden. Have a rest now.

I came from my neighbor and now can have cup of tea then go to bed. Tomorrow is Monday, one more, but holidays are near.

Wow LB! That 1st purple orchid is gorgeous.

I'm knackered. We are back home now, Pimms for me and G&T for him. I brought up 4 but I was younger then.

  • Evening all just finished watching Midsomer.  Hope Hazels okay not posted.  Night night all,  Rosie

    Good morning all.

Rosie, I also watched Midsomer last night, an old episode.

Another sunny and windy morning. I watered all pots in the garden, because wind dried them out very quickly. After school I'll go to cottage and plant sweet potatoes, all 150 seedlings. They need quite warm conditions, so now is the perfect time.

Wish you all nice day and see you later.

Good morning Ante and all later arrivals. I, too watched Midsomer last night. It was an old episode but I still enjoyed it.
@Biglad, handy brother was very pleased with yesterday's result but says he doesn't want another season like that.
Rosie, I'm not sure how many days 23 was staying with Hazel - hope he hasn't tied her and her OH up and locked them in a cupboard!
Ante, another good day for planting ahead. I hope you manage to get all your planting done. Yikes 150! I have to brace myself to plant out half a dozen plants into their permanent positions!

@Busy-Lizzie my orchids have done very well this season and there are still more to open. I meant to say the other day when you mentioned Geranium Espresso. I absolutely love that plant but I have never had any success with it and I've tried a couple of times. I really like the chocolate coloured leaves.

  • Morning Ante, LB and all.  I’ve popped a spider outside in the planter that was looking rather worse for wear in the sink or it could have been playing dead seemed more active in the planter. Ante hope the planting goes well today.  LB it’s forecast a sunny day today.  Feeling a lot better than I did thank you.  Hope you and Lily had a good night.

    Morning all.

It will be hot today. I have developed a slight cold and cough. I think I will spend some time relaxing but first I have to drive OH to the dentist (Son 2) to have his stitches out.

    Morning all (from the CA),

I've packed the OH off on another car boot sale with her bestie. Chucked a few strawberry plants in but could have sent loads more if there had been any room left.

Was out pretty much all day yesterday - very unusual! After getting home from golf, I walked up to the local cricket club to watch a couple of nephews play. Eldest had driven there with a couple of (other) cousins but fancied making use of the bar, so I was on Dad/Uncle Taxi duties when the game finished.

Looks like another dry, warm one today. Might go for a long walk if eldest is up for it. Possibly via another cricket ground, where the nephews are playing again. Alternatively, pottering around out the back is definitely an option.
