At last managing to sort some photos on the new laptop. One of my favourites - C. macropetala Lemon Dream - starts at the back door
and carries on down the fence towards the back gate - about 15 - 20 feet or so. I'm currently tying in new, softer, stems to get more coverage lower down, to take the place of the Miss. Bateman I've lost which used to be in the bed underneath. Got Julka recently from Thorncroft, which is now planted. Been waiting for a long while as it's been out of stock everywhere I've looked. Thought I'd treat myself Many thanks to the site/company @Marran Too early for the other large flowered ones yet , and the slugs have done their usual job of nipping out all the new growth...
Lovely supports @LeadFarmer. I hope your koreana does well for you. I can't keep them alive here, even with the best site I can give them. Alpinas and that macro. are fine, but they're all in raised beds with sharp drainage.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@Marlorena, sorry, having difficulty keeping up with all the posts.
The Rhodanthemum is called Zagora Pink, kind of dusky pink looking. My back's a bit better tonight, thanks for asking. Seems I can't plant out the clematis yet anyway as it needs hardening off for a week or so so I've got a reprieve!
Many thanks to @Maran for saving a Daniel Deronda for me at the Malvern Show yesterday. Didn't like being bounced around in a trolley but looks a good quality plant.
Lovely to meet you @Lizzie27. Hope you enjoyed the Show!
Some great clematis pictures on here. Seeing these I definitely need more of them. So pretty.
Clematis Montana. Pretty much finished now but produce billions of flowers. 10 metres long and filled the entire garden with the most wonderful scent for weeks on end:
I’m very pleased with my new Nelly Moser. Climbing on a fence with 2 hours maximum of sun per day. Flowers are huge and so pretty:
That is quite something Alfie, stunning. I have just planted an C.armandii, fingers crossed.
Thought I'd join in, lovely thread.
Quick recap that I planted Winter Beauty last year and it put on a great show even so young in FebAllanah started today, colour in reality a darker rich pink/burgundy
@Marlorena, you've got me thinking now whether it's Miss Bateman or clematis florida seiboldii. I've had it so long I can't remember where I got it from! Miss Bateman is ringing any bells with me.

Lovely selection of clematis, and so well grown... are you sure the first one isn't 'Miss Bateman'?.. Florida sieboldii didn't survive my winter..
'Lemon Dream' looks nice too..
Lovely to meet you @Lizzie27. Hope you enjoyed the Show!
Your Clematis armandii is beautiful, not often one sees it quite so good....
Slow progress here.. one at a time..
