You are welcome to show your Clematis, whatever state they're in.. I only have about 15 and most are later flowering..
This one from last year which would be flowering about now, I lost due to a downsize last autumn but I hope to get it back again.. flowers best on old wood from previous season..
'Miss Bateman'..

Today..
I now have 'Avalanche' which was planted a few weeks ago.. can grow quite tall..

..rich and luscious, 'Westerplatte'.. from a 2L container. I know from experience this one grows at a rate of knots.
'Asao'.. from a 1L container, I couldn't resist, and I'm growing it with an equally pink rose..
'Westerplatte'..
'Asao'..
'Bees Jubilee' ..struggling to open..
'Avalanche'.. no seedheads as it's male..
This is my Montana : Miss Christine which I planted last spring, it’s one of the smaller varieties ( up to 3 meters) and is ok for a shady area, I’m training it sideways.
I have been nurturing a grandiflora for almost 3 years, coaxing it up into my cherry tree
and finally getting a small flowering display last April.
It put on some good growth last year up into the higher branches and I was really looking forward to a reasonable show this year but it looks like it's now died. The new shoots failed to develop and all the top growth is brown and dried.
Yet another casualty of this harsh winter?
It is planted on my lower pergola next door to Adelaide D'Orleans so I hope they wont be too much competition for each other.
..lovely clems Nollie and @Bright star a smaller Montana is always welcome.. 'Miss Christine' is really nice isn't it, not one I've seen actually..
@Lizzie27
I think you mean 'Star Of India'.. it does well even in the first year.. I hope you manage to obtain one.. have a great time at the show, lucky you !..
