    ..that 'Lucky Charm' is so nice, not one I've seen before I think.

    @bullfinch
    Your Mum's might be 'Hagley Hybrid'.. it's quite a popular variety..

    I need to ask a question..

    @Marran
    What has happened to 'Rooguchi'?  I can't get it anywhere except in small 9cm pots, when are you likely to have it back in stock please?  thanks..

    That looks lovely @Richard Hodson.  I do like the more delicate flowered forms of clematis.   Hard to find here tho.

    That cutting of Maxima you kindly sent me a few years ago has grown into a very happy, spreading and highly floriferous plant now.  Fabulous.  Thanks again.

    Can anyone offer an explanation as to why my clematis isn't producing any noticeable new growth.
    It's a type 3 viticella type and has been living in this 35cm pot very happily for at least 15 years, totally reliable year after year, and is normally showing plenty of new growth by now. It was actually showing new growth higher up when I pruned it back in late March as normal. It is alive I've checked as the stems are a nice healthy green underneath the outer layer. Cheers.

    @Pete.8 I can't imagine how it's survived in such a small pot all those years either!

    I suggest you treat it to a larger pot and some fresh, loam based, JI no 3 type compost mixed with about 10% MPC for moisture retention.  Water it well before and after and then, if it does start to grow away again, reward it with some liquid rose or tmato fertiliser once a week while watering.

    @Marlorena your clems are all looking very healthy and I love the colours.
