@Marlorena, could you please remind me of the name of your lovely true blue big clematis you showed last year? I'm going to Malvern on Saturday and hope they now have it on sale there!
Awful Picture but this is my clematis. It's a group 2 variety I believe and it flowers may-july. I'll try get better photos when it starts flowering in a couple weeks. If anyone has an idea what variety it is. Mauve flowers with yellow middle.
@Bright star my Warsawska Nike is next to a pink bourbon rose and I’m also hoping to see the combination together, but the clem has some recovery growing to do first so I’m not sure I’ll see it. Miss Christine is really pretty, I didn’t know there were smaller montanas, I’ve never tried one because of their monster proportions.
I thought I had lost my Etoile Violette last year but it now has new shoots. The recovery of ET has left me with a dilemma actually as OH has spotted the new shoots and wants to keep it - I was going to plant a rose in it’s place!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Aww thank you @owd potter yes that was my spring sensation last year;
Not quite as mad this year as I got a male to let it seed, got beautiful fluffy pods! The stems that seed die back after. Its still covered in buds though!
Knowing how much snails seem to go for clematis, I am full of admiration for the effort it takes to nurture and grow clematis, especially in its early years.
Sorry to witness the demise of the forum. 😥😥😥😡😡😡I am Spartacus

it’s a shame about your Grandiflora @owd potter, it looks so promising in the photo.
I'll make sure we take one!
@Lizzie27
Thinking back, I'm not sure which clematis you mean now..
..this is 'Star of India'..
..but I remember you asking me about this one.. 'Daniel Deronda'...
