Maybe your neighbour should be encouraged to read a decent newspaper or watch the news on TV Nanny Beach. How can anybody who lives in this country have not known when the coronation was going to be?

I know that the next monarch is announced a month following the death of the previous. ”

Before that! It is announced with the birth of the monarch’s, or monarch’s-to-be, first child.

... and Charles became king the second after his mother died.

"The Queen is dead, long live the King" and all that.

I think the official public notice went up on the gates of Buck Palace later that day didn't it?

I will be watching the coronation on my iPad, can’t stand Huw Edwards all day doing the commentary.
I will watch on Sky news,  they were very good showing the queens funeral.
SkyNews has always been better wat Royal events concerns. Allister knows what he is talking about.

There is a no commentary version on the iPlayer as well as subtitles, sign language, and an alternative commentary version for people with sight loss. Personally I love listening to Huw 😁.

I'm not a fan of Huw Edwards, but I don't mind a little. If I find him irritating, I'll just turn the volume down. My wife wants me to record it, since she will be attempting to get a view up in London, but at only 5ft 2in, she could do with stilts.
She's not one for camping out, but has sharp elbows.

Bencotto, very funny 🤣. You old pedant you!! She does view news on a tablet. I think she's just making excuses because she booked somewhere which would be awkward to get to tomorrow.

Sorry to all that I wrote the name completely wrong. I was waiting at the dentist surgery and a bit nervous. I was talking about him: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alastair_Bruce_of_Crionaich

@SherwoodArrow I also like Huw ( and his Welsh dialect) but if it’s about Royal events, Alastair Bruce of Croinaich is the most knowledgeable person and his voice is the cream on the scone. I watched once the BBC and you heard immediately that they have no clue.

Guys, if you are interested in history and want to know details, switch to SkyNews.

Whether you are for it, against it, or neutral, it's going to happen today, unless God, or Putin, intervene.
