So far today I've bleached the kitchen, shampooed the carpets and scrubbed out every bin in the house. I always end up cleaning when I'm angry about something. I'm now sitting down watching a great French thriller.
Well, I don't know what you were watching @debs64, I saw thousands of people in the streets watching. It all went off beautifully and the armed forces were magnificent.
Charles was eventually allowed to marry the woman he had loved since he was young. Unfair on poor Diana, of course, but that was an arranged marriage. She should have been told though, but the pair of them were victims. Charles said he didn't sleep with Camilla until the marriage with Diana broke down. I don't call that adultery.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I'm whatever country'ish I was born in. I only 'like' that country because I was born there - if I had been born elsewhere I would 'like' that country. Isn't that how it works?
For those swearing allegiance - what does that mean? If CIII (like C7) went to war with Scotland, would you still support CIII? Isn't the act the thing that warrants allegiance, not a title? Or else don't you end up like the Tories supporting a bunch of crooks simply because you support Tory'ism?
Yes, I would still support CIII.
I pledged allegiance and support to my Queen years ago, and have no problem with continuing my allegiance to her successor.
In my eyes, it means obeying ones commander-in-chief, and if necessary, sacrificing ones life for them. If you think that is old fashioned, talk to those in the forces.
