Early here too - volunteer gardening. No doubt getting things ready for the expected rush of visitors over the holiday weekend.
Littlest Chicklet is on her way - somewhere over the Pacific at the moment. Gets there this evening our time. Had an overnight text from her (fortunately not to say she was in jail 🤣) vowing never to transit through the US again. Not only did she have to pay for a visa (to let her change planes in Chicago) but all transitting passengers had to collect their luggage and recheck it in again.
Hope your hospital trip goes well @Dovefromabove. Did you get access to the wheelchair you needed?
Morning all. @chicky, when my daughter went travelling in S America, she flew to Bogata via Madrid to avoid the usa for the very same reasons. Hugs to @Dovefromabove and family
Hello everyone.. rather cool here today. The prediction is for us to have a wet and stormy Easter and even snow in the high country. Since our hills are at 1300m, I won’t be surprised to see some white up there. Brrr, I believe it.
The sun is up and it is revealing the lush green of Spring. Last night’s rain is twinkling on the leaf buds of the trees and birds are flitting about with purpose as I have a coffee outside.
Play date with niece postponed as she has tonsillitis 🤒 but plenty for me to do in the garden today.
Good morning everyone, dull and damp here but mild. Not sure what we will be doing today. With my "lawn" I can't decide whether to feed first to get it growing or scarify and re-seed first.
I hope chicklet stays safe, enjoys herself and hasn't used up too much cash on the visa.
After 3 lovely sunny days we have rain. It will water my newly sown grass seed.
NDN's grandson is coming today to do some more clearing up. She is still in hospital, may be let out tomorrow. One of us wil have to do a bit of shopping for her, including food for her cat which I have been feeding.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
We enjoy watching Race Across the World and coming on here, I'm getting the same kind of vibe!
Just saw a pic from a friend who is in Madrid at the moment of the Semanta Santa parade there. I visited my daughter in Malaga one Easter and saw all the parades there, and all the people in their tall pointy hats with eye-holes cut out. It was quite unnerving but they are penitents, rather than KKK! An amazing spectacle as float after float went underneath her balcony, accompanied by musicians playing sombre music. We then went out onto the streets to get more of the atmosphere at ground level.
Don't have to travel to see her this Easter as she now just lives round the corner. We are invited to lunch at theirs on Sunday. Today I will be making up some cardboard Easter Eggs with chocs and other goodies for the (teenage) girls.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Another rather bleak day here, so I think it will be indoor gardening for me.

@Dovefromabove don't they have a base frame running all the way around? If not that's a great idea!
Edit: Morning all!!
