Good morning all and belated birthday wishes @didyw. Cold, windy and showery down here, such a difference to the high twenties a few days ago! The poor plants in the garden don't know if they are coming or going!
I have some plug plants due to arrive so have asked OH to find a bag of compost which has been cold under cover outside so that I can warm it up a bit before planting these plugs, they are usually good ones without T bags!
I haven't sown any seeds yet, I don't usually until April as they germinate and grow quickly in the warmth (when it comes back again)!
    Have a good day all.

Afternoon folks,  Busy few days here.  Lots of seeds sown and plug plants potted up.  Got the plants from Brookside and was so pleased that there were none of those awful tea bag things round the roots.
The boys have broken up for Easter so I've booked train tickets for London on Tuesday and reserved tickets for the natural history museum to see the dinosaurs, if the weather is Ok we'll take the open topped bus too.  They are very excited.
Been to the garden centre this morning and picked up 8 large pieces of Welsh slate for round the pond.  They were very heavy, aching shoulders and neck now so nothing else on the agenda for today.
    Enjoy the weekend everyone.

April came at last then! Thank you @Dovefromabove for starting us off.

Weather was dry this afternoon so outdoor jobs were in full swing - driveway washing, step-sweeping and garage tidying.

    Have a lovely weekend all.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Evening folks, we had more heavy rain overnight and into the morning but it had stopped by lunchtime so I threw myself outside and pottered - it was heaven, if rather wet everywhere. Went outside again after a late lunch and the sun came out by 4pm and ended up a rather lovely early evening.

Glad the new clutch did the trick @didyw, I'm not surprised you were relieved at the difference - a good birthday presie if a bit expensive!

Son's went off to meet a mate, they are going to have some fun go-karting and will hit the town tonight. He'll probably stagger home for lunch tomorrow.

Are you still having to wake up umpteen time a night @Dovefromabove? that must be so very tiring. Hope you get to doze when Rob does.

I got married the first time on April Fools Day - more fool me!

Fingers crossed it's dry again tomorrow.

@Lizzie27 … I come upstairs to bed about now and OH stays downstairs with my son until about 10 when we swap over, and I sleep on the sofa … now son usually only needs help a couple of times from then until morning, plus one dose of paracetamol… so much better than earlier. We were warned that he would be drinking a lot of liquid and what goes in must come out … 😉 and he can’t do that himself with the dressings on his hands … but, as he becomes more stable on his feet, it is gradually becoming easier. It is a huge help when Winky visits and does a couple of night shifts so that I can have proper rest before driving to the clinic. It’s her birthday on the 4th … and I’m afraid we’re not going to be able to celebrate it properly with her … but she’s being an absolute star about it ❤️
    night night all 😴

Sounds like hard work Dove but doable in the shorter term. I thought I did enough nursing OH after his hip op for the first fortnight or so but easy peasy compared to your present stint. Hopefully it will become easier the stronger Rob gets. Good to have backup from your OH and Wonky though.

Evening all,  a dry day at last though wet underfoot.  I did a 6 hour stint at the Allotments today. I may be broken,  ibuprofen tonight methinks.

Our clocks have now gone back to normal time. 👏👏

Pixel is finding it a bit hard to get used to. I guess I’ll get nagged for dinner early for a week or so.

Our son decided to spend last night with us instead of driving straight home to Canberra from the Snowy region, after his big day photographing the bike race yesterday.  Good to see him.

We have lit the fire in the living room. Rather early for autumn, but it works. Much more comfortable.

After much nagging, I’ve fed Pixel half an hour earlier than usual.   There’s nothing wrong with her inner clock.. 🤭
