When doing the now weekly hospital trips with my son we drive past a huge hoarding advertising Rhino greenhouses … I keep my eyes firmly fixed on the road 😶

Do it @Latimer .... we bought one 5 years ago and haven't regretted it.

Raining here today but I'll be in mine later sowing seeds.

My problem is I keep thinking one of the Halls or Elite ones would do as good a job at a much lower price. My wife is telling me I need to buy it today or forget about it, she knows I'll just fall into a rabbit hole of research! She would agree with your sentiment @Bee witched

@Dovefromabove I'm lucky I don't have that issue, that would be hard to resist!

Lovely @Chicky Ā Getting a bit chilly there now being autumn. Ā Hope she's got her wet weather gear with her - gumboots are a must!!!

Hi @Latimer .... I seem to remember that things like ventilation etc come as part of the price with Rhino rather than as extras, so be sure to compare like with like when doing your price comparisons.
I also used a code from the GW magazine to get a bit of a discount, and bargained them down a bit on delivery.

I think @Pete.8 also has a Rhino, and has been pleased with it.

    Yes you should! :)
Mine went up in 2016 and I'm still really pleased with it.
As Bee mentions above it comes standard with lots of extras that would usually be add ons.
Mine (10 x 8) came with autovents on both sides which open 3 panes at the top on both sides.
It also has 3 louvres (back and both sides) which are really useful.
I think the only extras I had was the aluminum staging at 2 levels and a small ramp so a wheelbarrow can easily go in and out.
Oh - and I had blinds for the south-facing side - which were pricey, but invaluable.
You know it makes sense 😁

Ps - you can haggle on price too - I think I got about an extra £300 knocked off

Welcome back @Latimer - sounds like you will be buying your Rhino!

Belated happy birthday to my fellow Aries @WonkyWomble - glad you are of such help to your mum.

Be strong @Chicky - we have to let our children fly.Ā  Mine flew first to Africa and then, for 8 years, to Spain.Ā  Now she lives just round the corner from me and I couldn't be happier, but am happy knowing that she was able to have those experiences.

What a good friend you are @D0rdogne_Damsel - I do hope your friend is able to get out of her situation safely.

Good for you getting on the list for the hip op @punkdoc.Ā  My FIL went private, it got infected and he spent 5 months with the NHS, mostly in hospital getting one infection after the other.Ā  He had his second done on the NHS and there were no problems.Ā

Seeds are sown and germination is happening sooner than I expected.Ā  Won't be long before the pricking out and trying-to-find-more-room starts happening.

Afternoon all, what a let down after two gloriously sunny days, wet and chillier. Still, it means I'm giving my achy bones a rest. Met a friend for coffee and cake at our local GC and then bought seed potatoes and seeds. They were also selling loose runner beans and peas so you could just buy a handful of each - good idea. 45p for my runner beans, we don't need a whole packet which lasts for years.

Had an interesting email back from the sonic device company. Apparently no devices work for squirrels as their hearing is on a different frequency to most small animals/rodents. Mine is adjustable for different species, squirrels being the exception.

Sounds as though your friend needs to escape fast @D0rdogne_Damsel. Very kind of you to help her with counselling.

@chicky, the first few days are the worst when your child flies off. My son took off for Australia and I didn't see him the next 16 months. He was very good though at sending me the occasionalĀ  reassuring email (long before mobiles). I had to learn how to do emails which was a quick learning curve. Thankfully my daughter never did a gap year although she didn't phone home for the first six weeks of uni. I'm sure your daughter will be fine and have the time of her life.Ā

Good afternoon,Ā  volunteer day today,Ā  another cool start but then got a lot warmer.Ā  Back home just enjoying a coffee on the patio when the rain started.Ā Ā
At least New Zealand is a safe place to start @chicky my brother and a friend did a big trip in the late 1970"s you wouldn't want/or dare to go most of the places they went to now. (Iran, Iraq,Ā  Afghanistan etc).Ā
