    Good morning Forkers,

nice to see people busy in their gardens/farms. Aw @Busy-Lizzie how sweet he bought you a dress, and so he should have after all the nursing 😉. I must admit I was a bit envious of your Southwold trip: I adore Suffolk.

Well done @Pat E for sleeping until 11. So the secret is to cart a ton of wood.  🤔

It seems sunny today but still chilly. Still don't know where to transplant all my seedlings 😂 .

This afternoon I am going to see a film about the woman who found Richard III under the carpark.

Happy day all. Let's stay positive.

After his delay with the fire brigade this morning, we had a little lunch before venturing out the back. We’ve got another load this afternoon.  Not as much as yesterday but pretty good.  We might as well get as much as we can while the weather is ok.

Hi Punkdoc. I must admit that Hubby is snoozing in front of Tele (7.20 pm).   I might not be far behind him 😂

Morning all, we both woke up early this morning, not quite sure why so had an early breakfast. It's just started raining so thats put paid to my plans for more weeding. It's probably raining because I watered all the pots yesterday! Not sure what to do now, although there's ironing still waiting.

A very nice present @Busy-Lizzie! When we went to Southwold it was lashing down with rain so had to take refuge in a little cafe on the pier. I liked what we saw of the town, just did a drive-thru, hope we go back sometime. OH's ancestors came from Suffolk so we've done several trips looking for old rellies.

Glad you could get out and potter @AnnaB, makes all the difference.

Hope your trip to Scotland goes well @punkdoc, I think I'd be inclined to have an overnighter to break up that very long journey.

Talking of which, it's @Drive It Day' on Sunday when old car owners try to take their cars out for a drive, probably for the first time this year. I must admit I'm not looking forward with great joy to getting in our 1938 Austin 10, it's very old, slow and incredibly noisy inside. Still, it keeps the old man happy which is the main thing. If you meet any old cars in your area, please have a little patience and treat them kindly.

It's a bit of a walk from the High Street to the Harbour and the fish restaurant @Busy-Lizzie so that's fantastic that you could both do that and then visit Wortham.
    Impressive haul of logs @Pat E !

My OH doesn't drive either but I don't think I'd have the confidence for a really long drive, so hats off to Moira @punkdoc.

I too get a thrill when my seeds germinate @Hostafan1.  It is nothing short of a miracle that whole plants can grow from such tiny seeds.  I'm amazed every time.

Today I'm sorting wool.  It is the remains of the stock I had when I ran my little craft shop and it's been waiting in plastic boxes for me to photograph it and list it on ebay.  But I never got round to it, so I've booked a stall at tomorrow's Saturday market in the centre of town and will flog it at half price there.  Fingers crossed for lots of knitters about.

    Morning all.

We didn't walk from the town to the harbour @didyw! That would have been too far, especially as we would have had to walk back to pick up the car.

It's been raining and it looks grey and chilly outside, so different from the lovely sunny morning yesterday in Southwold. OH has gone to the local town to get a few bits and pieces. He was so pleased with his walking progress yesterday that he wants to see if he can manage in his own.

Our Internet has gone. Yesterday the technicians were in holes in the road but we still don't have Internet. The phone had gone too but it's back now. Nuisance because the TV only works with Internet. Glad I have a good Smartphone with 4G. OH's phone doesn't have a signal.

    Good afternoon!

Good on ya @Pat E  Great sleep in - hauling wood seems the way to go.  Building up all that muscle mass can only be good for you!!!

Dull and grey here but 18/19°C during the day.  Still no rain.

Your OH @Busy-Lizzie is well on his way now and you will have some pleasant outings this spring and summer - somewhere to wear your new dress.  How lovely!!

I am sure you will sell your wool surplus @didyw - good idea to go directly to the public.

I drove a round trip of just over 1,000 kms to Switzerland to spend Easter weekend with family.  Not in a snowbound area - just a town near Geneva.  Went to a Tulip Festival in Morges which is a town along the lake.  Really worth it!!  Anyway, hat's off to Moira @punkdoc  Good to have a co-pilot in the car.

Today is:  Tel temps à la Saint-Anselme, tel temps pendant une semaine.   Oooh 'eck!
The sun has gone on holiday!!

I hope all of you have a pleasant day.

Good afternoon,  grey and miserable start here too,  but the sun is trying to break through.  We even resorted to getting one of our frozen soups out to heat up for lunchtime.  Doing paperwork this morning,  hope to get in the GH this afternoon   I have some Hispi cabbage plants that need potting on as I'm not able to plant them out yet.
    Regards to all.
