Morning all. Pouring with rain but quite mild.
We are going out for some fresh air and to have a browse around SM and town.
OH and I are feeling some side effects from jab, we're tired out( common)have no energy and arms very sore. Hopefully, this will all subside over the next few days.
    have a good everyone.

Rubee, it does sound so painful for him. Poor soul.

We have been out and come back again, both listless and can hardly walk🙄 A day for doing nothing now.

Hello all. Like Hazel, I went to the SM first thing - was there as it opened at 08:00 - and it was the usual bliss at that time. I'm afraid that an apple tree launched itself at me saying 'please buy me', so I did. It is a grafted Bramley's Seedling. There are no signs of it having flowered but there may be some buds there I didn't notice. To be honest, it was raining so much that I got well and truly soaked and didn't notice a great deal! Anyway, I shall find out soon whether my impulse buy was a sensible one or not. Who cares? Its a tree and trees are good for the environment aren't they??
Debs, the excitement from L'pool is growing daily. I think that they really, really want to do the best for Ukraine. I noticed on TV this morning that they are employing lots of young people to do various tasks associated with Eurovision with the prospect of some of these jobs becoming permanent afterwards.
Ruby, I hope that your OH is more comfortable today. It must be very wearing having to live permanently in pain. Crossed Fingers Light Skin Tone on Noto Color Emoji Animated
Busy, pleased to hear there has been a slight improvement in your knee. You won't be on your own with the rain judging by everyone's comments on Rez today.
Ante - hope work isn't bad today and that the students are paying attention to you.

    Afternoon all,

Bit Marti here but I've had a joyful couple of hours doing a bit of work to cheer me up :o - the boss who didn't do as he was told on Friday whatsapped me at 9.50am because e-mails had started going around all the big cheeses regarding a particularly, massive a-hole not getting paid. His e-mail contained threats, insinuations and insults. God bless him!

  • LB my hero too.  Well the plasterers been and plastered in the bedroom and put concrete render on the kitchen floor, advised me not to let Alfie in there.  A very affable guy who took his time in the kitchen and I’ve left him a good review.  Let that all dry now.  Going to bed for a snooze, hardly had a wink.  Hazel hope the side effects wear off soon but do get some rest.  Zzzzz.

@Rubee are they able to give some strong pain killing medication before the procedure? He shouldn’t be suffering unnecessarily.
@Ladybird4 I get the atmosphere is amazing. I envy my son soaking it up this week.
Daughter on holiday so been to feed her cats and fiancé put up her curtain pole properly for her so she will have a nice little surprise when she gets home. She is a single mom who copes really well on her own mostly but we all need a bit off help sometimes don’t we?

@Biglad are you telling us he was being rude and insulting to you??
Rosie, I am surprised you got a plasterer working on Bank Holiday but I guess that is an indication of how difficult it is for some people to make ends meet. I hope you are asleep now.
Debs, you are so right, everyone needs help now and again. It is a lovely feeling, helping others. She will be delighted when she gets home.

I run the payroll he's on @Ladybird4 and he said that he found the fact that he was "owed so many weeks" (it's 2 weeks, which would've both been paid on Friday if my boss had done what he should) "a tad suspicious". I know I'm a sensitive soul, but I definitely find being accused of some kind of fraud/skullduggery a bit rude and insulting. Took him 5 days and 2 reminders to sign the timesheet I sent him. Strangely, no mention of that amongst the threats to report us to his union. Describing himself as being "a team player" put the tin hat on it, really :o

Anyway, I've gone and bought some compost and a couple of new plants in the hissing rain this afternoon. Sod 'em!

What a total plonker @Biglad. Its been an abundance of Marti here today as well. I got saturated just going down to the back of my shed where the compost bins are. Once I had filled the bird feeders I called outside work to an end.
