LB, you sound as if you've got rather a lot of planting to be doing so can understand your desire for a warm sunny dry day. You, too, like Ante, must be feeling very frustrated. You have to take it easy though with your hip probs so go with the flow at the moment.
Bussy, it sounds that you had very nice day yesterday.
Thank you all for kind words and support. As you said Hazel, I'll have "coffee" with my neighbor, but not yet, it's too early😁. At least I'll have a good rest this weekend, and Monday is also free.
Ante I’m glad you are having a rest it is well deserved. Waiting for sm delivery then may go and have a snooze as awake all night, eyelids are heavy today.
Good morning all, It’s a lovely morning so far after yesterday’s pm rain. I’ve even got some cloth things drying on the string outside. Plan to do a little bit of gardening after coffee then I’ll see what I’ll do next, probably not a great deal. I hope your partner finds this job less stressful @debs64 but being away from home regularly isn’t ideal. However, sometimes needs must, and if it’s a stop gap until he can find something closer, then it will be bearable for a while. Have a good day everyone whatever you plan to do.
Hi all, no need to apologise the only downside of the job is that he will be away Wednesday to Saturday night but to be honest I can cope with that if he isn’t too tired to phone regularly and not completely exhausted on his days off. I am quite an independent girl these days, with a big family and friends I can see. I can plan nights out or just people for tea on the nights he is away. He already seems like himself more, calmer and happier.
Afternoon all, Been very busy lately so apologies for not posting. I have been keeping an eye on you all though. Today is the first warm day and so I managed to sow carrots, beetroot, radish and lettuce in the raised bed. I also planted out peas and french beans and potted on my tomatoes. I've bought some grass seed to oversow the lawn but I'm feeling a bit worn out so that will have to wait. Gabriel has been poorly with a virus that causes stomach pains. The doctor says it is everywhere at the moment. I suspect I am coming down with it too. It was Merri's birthday on Thursday I can't believe she is 15. It doesn't seem 5 minutes since she was born.
Afternoon all. I had to stop doing things outside as my back and hip are giving me real grief. I am going to try and see a Doc next week after the Bank Holiday.
Rosie, I hope that your delivery didn't keep you waiting too long. I was looking at white noise machines on that big South American River site as a lady at canasta who finds, like me, it hard to get to sleep had just got one and was recommending it. The one I quite fancy has 40 different sounds divide into various categories - i don't think I would have much use of the nursery rhymes one though. Thought I might get one to try.
Debs, that does sound much more positive. It seems as though your fiancé has had a weight lifted from his shoulders. The very fact he will be less tired and stressed is a plus point for the quality time you will have when you do get together.

Ooh hello there Yvie. Good to see you. You snuckered in there! Gosh but you have been a busy bee. Just imagine how tasty all those lovely veggies will taste. Shhhh, don't upset Ante. Sorry to hear about Gabriel. I have heard of some people having similar symptoms. I hope you only get a mild version.

Yvie you have been busy . It’s lovely having fresh veg straight from the garden.Yes time passes very quickly .Debs I am pleased that you can cope with OH being away a few days a week ,at least you will get to see him and talk on the phone regularly . Enjoying time with family and friends the way to go . It sounds as though your OH is beginning to relax . Red maple it’s so lovely to get outside in the garden isn’t it . LB so sorry that you are having trouble with your back and hip. I do hope that you can get an appointment with the doc next week .My OH is still up a lot at night and we are both tired .He has been prescribed some wraps with Velcro straps for adjustment . I am hoping those are less problematic than bandages that slip and tighten in different areas .He will be shown how to put them on when he goes to the dressings clinic next week .
Hi Ruby. Fingers crossed about the Doc. I do hope that your OH finds the latest wraps easier to use and more comfortable for him. What day is his appointment - will he have to wait very long?
