LB, what work are you having done in the garden? Sounds exciting!
Busy,  have an enjoyable evening with your friends, and as LB said, safe journey over the ferry.
  • LB hope your friends partner won’t be in hospital too long and soon back home and you can catch up.  Hazel great that you’ve identified your diagnosis in your medical records.  I do empathise.  Busy hope you and oh will soon be relaxing at home.  Ante I hope you’ve had a relaxing evening.  I fell asleep.  Night night all.

Good morning everyone ..Lovely mild morning here . I receive a parcel of plants yesterday .
One of the plants called Spotty Dotty has beautiful leaves . I obviously didn’t research this plant sufficiently.Just read that the flowers have a very unpleasant smell . I will tell you how bad it is when it flowers .😖😏😜

Good morning Rosie, Ruby and all to follow. I went out to put some rubbish in my bin at 06:45 and it was just starting to rain. Deep joy!
Ruby, I think I have seen that Spotty Dotty plant on an episode of Gardener's World some time back. I suppose as long as you don't get up close and personal, you can admire its lovely foliage from a distance.
Hazel, I have a lot of plants in temporary accommodation that I want to get into permanent places in the garden. I was hoping for nice weather today to get much of that done but it doesn't look as if I am going to be lucky. Still early though.

Good morning all. Another full Saturday at work which I really don’t want but never mind. Long weekend beckons with fiancé at home. We think he will take the job he looked at yesterday small country pub he has worked there before knows everyone and hours will be much more reasonable. He will be away from home but it ticks all the other boxes and he needs to be in a less stressful situation. I find it strange how it’s so much harder to cope with stress as you get older I couldn’t cope with 6 young children these days but I loved it years ago.
    Thanks for all your support.
Hope @Ladybird4 can get in the garden today.

Good morning Rubee, LB, debs and all to follow.

Rosie, hope you managed to rest last night. You were awake quite late. Quite opposite, I had very busy afternoon and evening.

LB, I share your joy about rain. It's same here.

First my apologize for being so poorly company last week. I felt little bit down whole week, and it's most because this awful weather. I have a lot to do at cottage, but rain just don't want stop. Yesterday was dry day, so I went up in the hills and prepared one field for planting. It didn't last long, because it's raining again. At lest I'll have restful long weekend. Now is time for breakfast. Looking forward to see GW this night.

Good morning Debs and Ante. Debs, I am pleased to hear your news about your fiancé but when you say he will be away from home, do you mean all of the time? That could produce stress yet again - for you both. Will he use this job as a temporary placement whilst he looks for something where he won't be away from home as much? Sorry if I am being too nosey.
Ante, we can have a good rant together about the rain - grrrr! It must be so difficult for you with all your planting and land management. I think you will enjoy GW when you watch it. I found a lot of this week's content very interesting indeed - its the scientist in me! No spoilers.

    Morning all.

@debs64, I was wondering the same as LB. Sounds a nice job but distance?

@Ante1 I hope it stops raining, frustrating for you.

We went to Lacock yesterday. It's a very pretty old village. It was used in the filming of Pride and Prejudice, Downton Abbey, Cranford and Harry Potter.

There is an old abbey too which we visited. It's all mostly owned by the National Trust. OH borrowed a buggy for the Abbey grounds because after walking around the village he was tired. I got in free for being his carer.

In the evening we went to the lovely friendly local pub for dinner.

We are taking an overnight ferry tonight. We'll have a cabin. Then tomorrow off to my daughter south of Poitiers.

    Morning all.
Same here LB and Ante. Rained overnight after raining most of yesterday anyway and now it's raining again. Ground is saturated.

It is disheartening @Ante,particularly when you have such a lot to do at the cottage and in the fields as well as working too. Like @debs64 OH, all that working produces its own problems and stresses and worries and in the end, something has to give.

It's easy to say...look after yourself, pace yourself out and so on...but the reality can be overwhelming at times. Totally understand how you must have been feeling this last week.

The thing is @Ante1 , things get done or they don't. Have a " coffee" with your neighbour....have 2 or 3 coffees and let the day go by . And REST my friend. DONT worry. CHIN up.
