Good morning Rosie. I hope you can get a catnap later on if you haven't caught up on your sleep yet. I am still taking things cautiously until my back is fully recovered.

    Morning all.

    Godd luck to @debs64 fiancé.

The drive yesterday was OK, apart from the rain on the M4. I hate all the spray from lorries. Took about 4h30. Good to see our friends, lots of chat. Lots of politic arguing but it doesn't stop our friendship. They are very right wing and we lean more towards the left. They are ardent Brexiteers and we are remainers.

Looks a bit gloomy outside. There is a lovely view of a small river and across fields. I wonder what we will do today.

Good morning Busy. I am 100% with you about driving in rain on motorways - especially in the dark as well. I'll bet that you end up in a lovely local pub where you can enjoy a super meal!

    Morning all.
Debs,,hope OH and son manage to find somewhere suitable and will be happy. These are hard times but I'll be wishing them both the very best and good luck in their ventures.
It's rained overnight again and now it's raining that fine drizzle that is very wet. It will do the gardens good and save the water metre whizzing round.
Im very late up again this morning so need to get going. Indoor jobs are a -calling🫣
  • Afties all, had scrap metal merchants pick up an old tv, microwave, vacuum, etc, all dealt with very speedily.  Hazel it’s rained here too.  Dragged the bin round and parked it ready for tomorrows pick up.   Busy enjo your meal out with friends.  It’s good you can politely disagree with them.  Had a mushroom curry for lunch, rather spicy.

Good afternoon everybody. Well I did go to play canasta after all and  it was nice to catch up with the group. I enjoyed a game even though my partner and I lost. It was fun.
Before I went to canasta, I had a message from my blind friend. Her partner had had a minor heart attack on Wednesday. He was taken to hospital in Preston then at 21:00 last night he was taken to hospital in Blackpool which is known for its cardiac centre to have an angiogram today. She had spoken with him before we spoke and said he sounded quite chipper. Apparently he has his own en suite room. I asked her if he had just sneaked off for a crafty holiday and she laughed and said that she had said something along those lines to him too.
I am going to visit her on Monday - as long as it is possible as she isn't sure when he will come home. I told her not to worry as we can always meet up another time. She will let me know.

Rosie, what a great clear out you have had today and how brilliant that the scrap men took all your old gear. Mushroom curry sounds interesting. I love spicy food.

Rosie, I love days like that when you clear out all the stuff you don't want and just leave them outside the house. Mysteriously, sometimes, it just disappears!Glad yours is all gone.
LB, my mum and dad have had many a visit and admittance to Blackpool hospital, living not far away from there. I, also, have visited it too but only as a visitor, never a patient. Huge place and parking was a nightmare. I hope your friends partner is okay.
I have had some great news today. I have received copies of pages to my medical records pertaining to the PR. And there, in black and white, albeit eleven years ago,( 😬) is my diagnosis for Palindromic rheumatism👏👏 Yes! Now things will be different.💪🫵
Also, whilst wandering round the garden I spied  some new green growth on our Verbena Bonariensis ! On all the hollow stalks are little protrusions and three green leaves showing themselves. I am so pleased we haven't lost it.

Hi Hazel. I think all hospitals have nightmare parking facilities. Great news about your medical records. I'm sure you will have great delight in flourishing them at those awkward people - I certainly would. I will check on my VB tomorrow as I am hoping to have some intensive work in the garden done.
