Good morning Ruby. I guess you will be seizing the moment to get into your garden again today. When I got back home yesterday I went out to try and control a rambling rose that is trying to take over the world. I removed loads of branches but it still needs a severe seeing to. I had never realised how thick their shoots can become. Even my loppers are not quite up to the job - I will need to use a hacksaw. I was only using my smallest step ladders and I didn't feel very stable on them. All the bits I removed were then chopped into smaller pieces and consigned to the green bin.

Morning all. It's mighty bitter here this morning but the sun is trying to make an appearance so hoping it will warm up as the day goes on. OH has gone off to pick son up, then we'll be doing a quick trip to local SM. I am expecting a bigger delivery over dinner time and the surveyor from the double glazing company are coming between 1-3pm. Busy day me thinks.
Those going to work, friends, SM's and for walks, wrap up and enjoy your day.

    Morning all.

It's a lovely day so we are going for a wander around Southwold. OH wants to see how he manages walking, last time we went he took his mobility scooter as he hadn't had his hip replacement then. We'll lunch at the lovely fish restaurant by the harbour. OH had booked it for last week but then I was ill.

Afties everyone. Busy, hope your OH has managed his walk today, what a difference he must feel now after his operation. Freedom!
Weve got through the busy day but are both shattered now. Surveyor has been and gone and installation date set for three weeks time. That's quick! Last time it was a six week wait. Can't wait.
Son has got his car back, duly repaired and he's very happy. All food shopping and deliveries made so we are all ready for 23 tomorrow now. Probably need to call on energy reserves at this rate. We plan to do nothing over the weekend 😂 That's it, Ive jinxed it😱
LB, hope, you've had a good time with bestie today.
It would have been a lovely day here but for the chilly wind. North Easterly winds are so bad here but I got Lilys TV on and the material things have blown dry.

Good afternoon all. How are you feeling now Busy? I hope that you could do justice to the fish meal today! How did your OH manage with his walking.
I had an interesting time with Bestie and her daughter today as the estate agent was coming to take photographs of the house. He was a lovely guy and had some helpful advice for her. After he was finished, we walked back to Bestie's and she sent off an email to the solicitor who has gone bust. Give him his due, he replied within 5 minutes and now Bestie has the name of the new solicitors who will be handling the probate case.
I got some exciting news which made up for the sadness of yesterday. My car is being delivered back to me tomorrow morning (hope my bag of compost is still in the boot!) - all mended and ready to go. Woo hoo!. When I got home I rang the firm who provided the courtesy car and they are coming tomorrow morning to pick that up. I was wondering how the collection and delivery would go and its nice to know I don't have to leave the house. I am so pleased it took less than the estimated time (28th April) to be repaired.

  • Lovely message LB.  Hazel you should sleep after all your endeavours.  Busy hope you enjoyed your fish lunch, sounds lovely and oh mobility is improving.  Debs enjoy your evening.  My dress arrived today and it does fit.  Ordered a filler scraper and some poly fills to sort out a couple of indents in the wall.  Lily thinking of you x.  Rosie

Glad you are getting your car back sooner than expected LB.

We enjoyed Southwold. It was sunny with a nippy breeze while we walked up and down the High Street. OH managed fine, no buggy, no pain. He still limps and has a stick, it will take a while to get back to normal. He bought me a summer dress in Seasalt. Then we went to the Harbour and had a seafood platter in the fish restaurant. Yummy.

On the way home we stopped in Wortham, near Diss to look at the church. My great great great uncle was rector there for 52 years, years ago, Richard Cobbold.
