It looks as though its been raining - time will tell. I would like to get back out into the garden today. Finished knitting a pair of fingerless gloves yesterday - just need to get them stitched up now. I had a phone call last night from an ex colleague. He now lives in Cornwall (Looe) but is coming up north this week to see his family (and @Biglad, as a rabid Blackburn Rovers fan - the match on Wednesday night). We are meeting up for lunch on Wednesday and I'm looking forward to a huge catch up.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning LB and Rubee. I was up and about at 6.15am, couldn't sleep. Have been for a wander around the garden (10 degrees so far) and everywhere is so still. Plenty of bird chatter though. Are your new knitted gloves for gardening LB? Nice of your ex work colleague to get in touch, you'll both have a rare old time catching up. BTW did you manage to have a look at your verbena bonsariensis to see if there's any new growth? Ours , I think is dead. The other one is doing fine. @star gaze lilythinking of you and the family. Hugs
Good morning Ruby. I must admit that by this time in the year - i.e. after Winter, I am looking forward to loads of gardening work and knitting goes on the backburner so I am hoping that will happen shortly. Being stuck inside is not good either as I get strangely drawn to looking at plants (to buy) online.

Good morning all. Sending hugs to @star gaze lily and hoping you are taking extra good care of yourself More rain last night, I know it’s good for the garden but I am hankering for sunshine the weekend was dull and dreary. Fiancé is home and getting the van back today.
Son is back from Ibiza brown as a berry and full of plans to move back to Liverpool in May.
Work later but one thing about this weather work feels less of a penance when the sun isn’t shining.
On Friday night I was in such pain, didn't manage to see a doctor and our telephone went out of order on Saturday morning, it doesn't ring apart from 2 little beeps and the line is very crackly.
Anyway, thank goodness the pain has nearly gone, just a bit tender when I press on the area. I'll make an appointment to see my doctor in France, we go back in 2 weeks.
Yesterday we went to a plant sale in a nature reserve. It was a nice gentle outing for both of us, not far. OH bought me a Dicentra Bacchanal and 2 pots of honey. We had a cup of tea.
Thinking of SG Lily. I've known her a long time on this forum. Found emails from 2015 when she was kind to me because a troll on here had sent me unpleasant PMs.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning Debs and Busy. Busy, that must have been very upsetting to be trolled, I would have been angry and distressed in equal measures. Good to hear the pain has subsided but you're right to get checked out by your France doctor if it's easier seeing someone there. Debs, fingers crossed the van is okay when you pick it up today. Glad your son had a nice holiday,m sounds like our lad who always turns brown as a berry just looking at the sun! I stay in the shade, come out in a rash if it's too hot and sunny. ( fancy being allergic to the sun😢 eek!) Let's hope the dull weather keeps the customers away at work for you.

I've made an appointment with my French GP, early May.
