Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
There's a thread on this site about the emergency app and the 23rd.
I think it's horrendous that the nurses' strike may include ICU nurses. Pat Cullen should be ashamed of herself, but then so should the government.
I went to the surgery this morning. They said they treat ex-pats free and try to book them in quickly but today was fully booked. I'm so much better now that I didn't make an appointment.
Went to Curry's to buy landline phones that seem better than our cheap ones. Haven't installed them yet. Then went to Sainsbugs as OH had a £6 voucher about to expire so did the weekly shop early. Nectar card allowed another £7.50 off and various products cheaper. Coffee was half price with the card. Altogether over £18 off.
Had long chat with Daughter 2 on phone. We watched GW with a coffee. Then I told OH I was out to do some gardening and we realised it was 6pm already. Got the washing in and, despite it being a lovely day and I hadn't worn a coat, the washing was still damp, bother it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hazel, at least the weather improves, and it's still grey but dry and warmer. It's amazing how only one weeks oh holydays can ruin routine.
Rosie, bet your sandwich for lunch was delicious. I like combination of tuna and mayo.
I'm little bit tired, so I'll have my dinner and tea, then it's time for sofa and tv. The weather should be much better this weeks, so I'll go to cottage tomorrow or at Wednesday.
That's the ticket Ante, always know when to take a break and treat yourself kindly. It's turned chilly here this afternoon so have just pottered. Think early morning has caught up with me now, I'm shattered. Busy, isn't that typical? When you can see a doctor, you don't need one. Hope your new phones work better for you. Ive been reading up about the alert on-line and via the news. I think my phone is a wee bit too old but you never know, doesn't really matter.
Think I have that app too LB. One has appeared called SOS and I'm sure it wasn't there before. Feeling a bit fragile today. Hands and back are really hurting (arthritis). Mentioned to Gabriel that I felt a bit like an old woman and he looked me in the eye and said Nanna but you are an old woman. Out of the mouths of babes eh. Despite his comments I really enjoyed looking after the boys this afternoon, hadn't seen them for a week as they had been to the lakes with their dad. Lots of cuddles and kisses were had despite Gabriel's protests.
Goodnight Ante, sleep well. Hope, you have a good day at work tomorrow. Yvie, little ones do come out with some corkers don't they? Out of the mouths of babes indeed. Don't take it personally.😊 23 has said a few things that made me raise my eyebrows too😬😂 Hope your hands and back ease off tomorrow for you. Can sympathise with you. Signing out now. Night all.
Morning all. Dozed off downstairs Biglad, a bit cold, so washed and dressed. Yvie I love going to the Lakes it brings back such memories. Hazel yes young ones don’t have a filter. Time for tea. Lily thinking of you x
