That's good Busy, at least you know you'll be seen now when you return to France. Our system is so broken now. I can't believe the latest nurses strike is going to include ICU staff😬😱 We must all endeavour to stay well at the moment! I must be like my dad, a true townie as I don't think I would like being too far away from every day amenities😊
Good morning Hazel (you weren't there when I posted), Debs and Busy.
I have just done an hour and a half in the garden but the whole time I was outside, there was this really fine drizzle - I've heard it described by locals as 'wetting rain' so it is not encouraging. I have hard pruned my sarcococca as it was beginning to get in the way of long wet cloth things. It will soon recover. Green bin is half full already after last week's emptying. Hazel, I cannot see my VB but it is hard because of the celandines at the moment. I did have another quick look today - no sign.
Debs, fingers crossed here that the garage have managed to solve out the van problems. Your son seems full of bounce after his holiday. Is he hoping to be back in Liverpool for Eurovision?
Busy I am so pleased to hear that you have an appointment in France. It is best to get this pain sorted out - and possibly a diagnosis, just in case.
Has anyone else noticed that the Emergency alerts App has sneaked onto their phones - ready for the country wide alert on 23rd?
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Busy, I meant to say that I have been looking at Dicentras this weekend. I would like a white one to go with my pink one. At least I think its pink. It was a big piece I got from my Bestie's Mum. It is looking very luxurious with pretty blue-green foliage.

LB, I have a white dicentra, it's beautiful I used to have the common pink one but it got trampled on ( by fencers) and didn't recover so replaced it for same. I was delighted when it came out white, it's very pretty. I heartened to know your VB isn't showing any signs yet of growing, that means there's hope for ours yet. Im ready for the emergency alert next weekend but it took me a while to find the setting on my iphone. Don't know if it will come through as the wording is slightly different on phone to that on website. There is no new App either on the Hoemescreen on my phone either.
Yes Hazel, go into settings then scroll down through the list until you find Apps. Open that up and scroll down that list and you will find Emergency alerts in the alphabetical list.

Lily I was thinking of you last night and I hope you managed to sleep. Be extra kind to yourself. I’ve been to do the sm shop with Dad, really busy. They had a long queue for just one operative, all the others various self serve options, eventually they put another member of staff on another till and we managed to pack everything. Glad to be home and have some tea. The lady on the till said she was exhausted as they’d been really busy since 8am. Busy I hope youre feeling more comfortable today. LB I had a lovely tuna fish, mayo and pepper sandwich with home baked bread for lunch. Hazel quite a good selection of plants at the sm although they could have done with more watering. Ante I hope your day is going well.
Afternoon Rosie. Ooh but that sandwich sounds delicious! Made my mouth water just reading about it. I love that combination of tuna with pepper - must try it. I tend to go for the tuna/cucumber combination.

LB, I don't appear to have Apps in the settings of my phone, maybe it's too old. Rosie, I agree about the SM plants, poor things. We popped along too this afternoon to our local SM and we always have a look at their plants( we are keeping our eyes open for *esc* marigolds, really good last year) we noticed they were in need of a water too. Not much left either at the moment. Ante, hope your week is going along nicely and that you're not too overtired. @star gaze lily, was thinking about you all day yesterday.Hugs to you.
