Rosie, too right🤭 Two cold frames, a greenhouse full of seedlings, and still we buy more😬🙂
Your dinner sounds yummy. Wish I could bake bread but don't have to patience to do it.
Rain is easing off and the sun is trying to come out again.
Ante, poor you with the weather, does it ever end? I hope you are, non the less, getting some deserved rest and relaxation during your holidays after your recent busy times.
Busy,,how is your OH doing now? Is he managing to walk okay and correctly and what about sleeping? Is he able to sleep on his side ok with that pillow /leg/knee support? Soon to be time to return to France.

    Afternoon all.

Rosie, I can smell your lovely bread. There is nothing better than homemade, warm bread.

I came home from cottage. It is sunny, but still windy. I couldn't do anything outside, but Max and I had pleasant, very long walk. Now is time for cup of tea and rest.

We've seen three little goldfinch's  in the garden earlier on. Chattering like mad and picking leaves off a Cineraria plant which has come from mums.
Ante, glad you've had a good walk with Max, both of you will have benefited from the fresh air and exercise.

Good afternoon all. Today - a washout - finished buiding my furniture and spent a while pottering around the house and chatting to friends and family on the phone. We have yellow weather warnings for winds tomorrow and Wednesday so I'll be checking on pots down the garden. Its quiz night tonight so I am signing out for today. See you all in the morning and whatever you have planned for this evening - enjoy!

    Evening all,

It's been grim here as well, @Ladybird4 - I didn't get back outside this afternoon.

I've just caught 3 sheep 'mowing' the front lawn for me :o I'll be getting in touch with the guy who did the drainage in the back garden to talk through what to do with the front - a roadside fence will be first on the list!

Well done LB for completing your craft drawer building. Now to fill the drawers, the fun part.
Biglad, that time of year again for you and the local sheep. Do they do a good job of " mowing" your lawns?!
Signing off for now. Night all.
  • Morning all.  LB well done for your endeavours.  I’ve dozed off momentarily and had some tea, washed and dressed.  Catching up with an old friend today and having a trip out together to a rural place where they grow their own vegetables and plants, there’s a gift shop, cafe and horses and grounds to explore.  I hope you’ve slept.

Good Morning Rosie, Ruby and all like me who are late arrivals. It was decidedly chilly this morning so heat has gone on for now. I think that my neighbours may be off to their place in France today as they have been 'getting ready' for the last 4 days. Its dry at the moment after the torrents of yesterday but the yellow warning is on for those high winds from 15:00 today.
Biglad, I reckon sheep would make great lawn mowers but they cannot discriminate between grass and the choice plants in the garden - get yourself a fence up!
Rosie, have a lovely time with your friend today. That place you are going to sounds like the sort of place I would love to visit.
Ruby, I think I will be potting on too - might have to use the GH or garage. I'm expecting bird food and roses today.

Morning early birds. Sun, wind and cold are abundant here so need to wrap up when we go to Opticians to pick up OH's new glasses later on.
Rosie, your planned day sounds ideal and will do you good. Have a wonderful time.
The starlings are still taking control of the hanging feeders off the new feeder pole, so need to think of something else to put up there which they can't access so easily. We have a bird table which they attend too and gormandize everything in sight.
My Verbena Bonsar.. seedlings are coming on, all 20 of them but noticed yesterday that the Clematis Montana leaves are wilting.Marigold seedlings are coming through now so things are progressing nicely in the garden and greenhouse.
Hope everyone has a grand day.
