My bird food arrived and I had already been in the garage emptying what was left in the bin into a large plastic trug so that the newer stuff went in the bottom, then I put the older stuff back on top. In that short amount of time I got chilled to the marrow. Just as I locked the garage up it started to rain so I guess there will be no outdoor work done today.
Debs, that is a ridiculous amount of work time and you are so right. It will have a detrimental effect on his health eventually so I do hope he finds a more suitable situation soon - or another chef gets taken on.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Afties all. Feeling rough today, didn't get much sleep and now have an upset tummy. My new books and squirrel baffle have been delivered today so will go experimenting with feeders when feeling more like it. Debs, I hope your OH can sort something out, you're right, those hours are unsustainable for anyone - he needs a work/life balance.Hope you get the van repaired correctly this time.
Hi folks, Horrible day here, I'm getting very fed up of the wet weather. I had such plans re the garden this week as no grandchildren are around but they have definitely been scuppered by the weather. Managed to get out and about yesterday morning with Bestie to Hillview Hardy Plants. They hold the national collection of primulas. Bought three Valentines. Not a red flower person but these are a lovely very dark red. Took Hubby to physio and sat in the car reading the new guidelines for polling clerks. I have a feeling that this ID business is going to make for a long polling day. Have just lit the log burner, stay warm everyone.
Afternoon Yvie. Its horrible here too. We had those lovely few days over Easter and now it feels more like November. I do a postal vote so do not have to have a photo ID. Mind you I have some of those with driving licence, passport etc.
Hazel, I wonder if you were starting to experience the upset stomach early this morning, hence being awake at the crack of dawn?

Hazel hope you managed to get back to sleep. LB I’m glad your courtesy car is okay. Quite windy here too and raining. Yvie let’s hope we get some warmer weather soon. I slept quite heavily eventually as took quite some time to nod off. Hope you are all dry.
Well I just hate days like today - cold, grey, wet and miserable. The forecasters had better be right about next week - the nice weather over Easter just spoilt us. I have spent a lot of time going through old photographs. I have been getting rid of most of them. I intend sending some to the subjects in the photos - got several to take to Bestie tomorrow - and all the rest are going to be binned. Some have lost their colour and look very 'muddy' and others are 'Who is that'? or 'Where is that'? They were just taking up valuable space and I never look at them.

Ante, that was a good idea of yours about the pictures. I could have sent them all to Handy Brother to sort through.
Glad you are feeling better now Hazel and your young verbena seedlings look great. Where are you going to put them all I wonder? 23's bean is looking great.
Signing out for tonight. See you all tomorrow people.

Hazel, sorry to hear that you are not well today. Hope it will pass soon and you will rest this night.
Debs, hope your fiancé will find some better solution.
LB, I done the same thing few years ago with my photos, only difference is that I sent them all to my parents, so they can cope with them.
Weather improved, and it was sunny and warmer, but tomorrow again rain. Next week we can expect weather appropriate to spring.
