    @ElbFee, thanks for posting tulips and hosta photos. So beautiful.

    @SYinUSA, lovely buds, soon you will have flowers on those.

    I managed to plant out most of the pots. Last three remaining. I am thinking whether to give away those or just plant out in any useless spot in garden.

    Any rose that I dont like or not doing great, I just plonk those somewhere in garden among shrubs and they stay there like 2-3 sticks giving me some sample flowers. I should ideally give away or bin those and find a suitable alternative plant for those spots which would be happy in that location. Anyway that is a job for another year.

    I have taken Monday off from work and looking forward to feeding and mulching. Fingers crossed it wont be raining that day. I need it done before April school term break.

    Great she's back and hope the Gin was restorative for you. Glad you thought to stock up.
    Yes @Tack As Viktor Kiam said - "Liked it so much we bought the company"!

    Oh Agatha, that must have been a horrible wait. So glad she is back.

    If I hang out here enough will I be able to get peonies to flower too? I’ve managed one solitary flower in all the years ai have tried. Maybe a fresh start in new garden May help. I have done the planting shallow thing.

    Horrible day in the south west. I would really like to check how my Kew Gardens is doing which is still in pot ready for the move but don’t fancy getting wet and muddy. I have some David Austin rose food which I am hoping will bring my tiny flower carpet rose back to life but I am going to give it another week or so before cracking it open .

    Not tried Hrafn Gin, that good eh Peter? ;)
    Was supposed to be a mostly sunny day but OH and I got soaked planting out perennials, it is not cold and with this rain I'm hoping they'll have an ideal start. The inground roses were manured and fertilised with last year's leftover DA food and Vitax azalea. I need to do my potted roses still.

    Is pelleted chicken manure suitable as a first feed, I've had it for years now, and by the looks of it I'll have it for a few more yet.

    ^I'll have it ...  I've not seen many so far..

    Lovely Spring photos earlier..

    @PeterAberdeen
    Glad to hear all is well with your dog, quite a nerve wracking experience.
    Some of your plants are ahead of mine.. 'Bowl of Beauty' flowers for much longer than some Peonies I think..
    ...  pretty little rose you have, it seems to be a ground cover type.. nice to find one with an appropriate name too, not always easy that..

    @peteS
    Pelleted chicken manure is better than nothing, but it's rather low in nutrients for roses, if you want to get the best from them..
    I think it forms the base fertilizer for some of the better brands..

    Following on from my question about Roald Dahl the other day, and seeing DA have a 15% off offer …

    The space I was thinking of is about 2m long and I can come out as far as I want. I don’t know if I can get by with only one plant or would I need two or three to combine?

    I could go one plant and add some salvia Caradonna or somethin around it, but I don’t think RD needs the blackspot help. Ideally though I’d like a bit of impact. A mass of flowers.

    Upon thinking about it maybe a single Lady Of Shallot might do the job instead.
