Wow this thread evolves quickly, great stuff people. Lovely blooms. No blooms yet. Most likely candidates are Gertrude J and Princess Anne as they are opening a bit. I found the fragrance chat a few pages back intriguing. My top ones are:

Gertrude J, Princess Hamilton, Chandos B, Well Being, in that order. They are all knock out scents. However I have about 15 new additions, most of which are scented so this will likely change.

I know quite a few of you grow lots of Austins and wanted to know if you think I am missing some of their key roses. It's all down to personal preference of course but wanted to know if there are any must have Austins I don't have or even just your top 5 Austins (currently sold). I have PAoK, Princess Anne, Eustacia Vye, Gabriel Oak, Winchester Cathedral, Gertrude J, Woolerton OH, Abe Darby, Constance Spry and James G. I'm getting a rose arch this summer and will likely use Strawberry Hill so that will be on my list soon for sure.

I will lavish loads of TLC on it for one more summer @Nollie and see how it responds, only because I love the blooms. But I don't think it's ever going to come anywhere near the photos shown in Austin's catalogue/website.

What a great order, ElbFee. You will adore Rose des Cisterciens. I really regret not grabbing Eisvogel when I had the chance...

I didn't know irises  came in such colours

The younger stems were less thorny, like the one in your picture, @Wynken - I photographed the thorniest one I could see.

I am getting very envious of all of your lovely roses, mine still only have tiny buds/aphids on them! At what point do I start the fortnightly feeding? is it once they are in flower? I know I have to the do the 'proper feed' after the first flush. tia.
