I have Bathsheba not CPM. I can recommend B, one of my favourite roses. It's only real failing is rain intolerance and the blooms die ugly. I deadhead regularly so don't mind the latter. Here it is (if you zoom in) just starting to bloom.
Am devouring all the pictures and info, it's just a lovely time of year for us.
Some overall scenes/groups today. This narrow border was created in 2020, just as I started being interested in roses, it was lawn beforeUtopia and Heidi Klum Malvern Hills, Odyssey, AbFab, Unknown white and Joie de Vivre
For someone who has only been growing roses since 2020, you have the magic touch @tack ..
@HarryWhite I think you did what we would all have done, cutting down those conifers.. I can't imagine why anyone would have wanted to plant them in that position.. Council houses often seem to have large gardens, especially those built during the 50's I think.. You did right to snap that one up..
Thanks for the info about Bathsheba @Tack I know I will finally end up buyng both Pilgrim and Bathsheba, lol and I agree with Marlorena, you absolutely have the green thumb, stunning roses all over your garden and, amazingly, those in pots too (I really can’t grow anything in pots, everything dies on me, don’t know why).
BTW I need to thank @Marlorena for her past pictures of Kew Gardens and Tottering by Gently, which got me to buy them. I am falling in love with those two roses and their simply flowers, especially now that I can see them “live”. They both are delicious and seem very easy to take care.
Enjoying the roses and geraniums posted today... 'The Pilgrim'.. huge 'Belle de Crecy' - gorgeous colour 'The Lark Ascending',.. I doubt you'll see black spot on that one..
Starting off with Norwich Castle - nice colour (I love orange), but blackspots galore. Ghislaine de Feligonde Crocus rose Jude, the Obscure - such a scent machine even as a bud, but all droopy in this hot/cold weather. Bordure Abricot - nice coral hues. The Pilgrim Frilly Cuff - bought it after seeing @Marlorena's 🙏 Blush Noisette Grosvenor House Uetersens Rosenprinzessin - new addition this season. Golden Showers Newsflash, a worthy replacement for Super Trouper which has heavy blackspot.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth

Lovely blooms @Eustace — Newsflash looks fantastic, does it have a nice scent?
Just the usual suspects for me, with the first flower on Roald Dahl
