Bare roots for me. I like working around a definite planting season/ window which enables me to view the results of previous additions and figure out exactly what roses I want to add where. I'm not an impulsive purchaser.
Molineux is said to have upright growth @WAMS and I’ve often thought I should try it. Those described as such are not necessarily as slender as QoS. Summer Song maybe, but that one’s a bit of an acquired taste.
I’m reworking my oranges and lemons rose bed. I loved the fresh green of euphorbia mellifera in the middle as a rose backdrop:
But it got too big and dominant so today it came out, with a bit of tussling and cutting through a fair number of chunky roots:
I managed to saw off three chunks around the outside, so finger’s crossed this one or one of the others takes. That ‘temporary’ puppy barrier really has to go or I need to fashion it to fit properly and paint it out..
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.

No other DA is like that in my garden @WAMS.

Very pleased to see that the wisteria looks set to flower for the first time!
