@ElbFee, I fed those pots with tomato feed. A little bit of feed whenever I watered. Back then I had a lot more time and only 12 roses. I cant get that kind of blooming roses now a days.
Love your garden and love your hosta too. I wish I could have hostas planted in the border like that. I am forever babying my hostas in pots to save from snails.
@JessicaS - yes they definitely can take a rigorous pruning and are all the better for it. When I hard pruned mine it filled an entire garden bin. You can’t see in the picture but it continues past that brick buttress. This section was in a bad state with lots of patches with no leaves and the leaves that were there were all dead so I removed all of them. It came back and fully filled out that section with new growth. So don’t be afraid.
Hello! I’ve been away for ages while there was building work. And my garden suffered! I’ve just ordered two ramblers from beales with 50% off to kick off the season: rambling Rosie and rural England!
I’m more of a lurker on the rose threats, but I enjoy seeing all the progress. I was delighted to find the first few buds on my “Anna Ford” today. Looking at last years threat, it seems to be a couple of weeks ahead of 2022.
None on the other roses yet, but love the lime green foliage on this unknown pink flowering patio rose, it is very vibrant.
